In todayβs Run episode the BTS members (except our beloved Yoongi π’) will be splitting into two teams and cooking Korean dishes made with NO OTHER THAN Paikβs Ham! π·
This guest was so special that Tae and Namjoon for the first time asked someone for their autograph. Namjoon said his mom told him not to come home without that autograph! π€£ LOL
Along with the members showing us a great time with this episode they also brought awareness to Paikβs Ham, who is helping farmers in Korea.

It was the chef who called RM and asked bts a favor to appear in Run BTS episode to promote the product for the farmers. That's the reason of this collab.

2021-11-03 18:49:59 +0000 UTCSorry but i'm extremely defensive when it comes to members being left out of things and it still just really upsets me and pisses me off that they still continued to film without Yoongi when they could have just gone on a little break for a while instead like Army wouldn't mind waiting at all! True Army would always much rather have OT7 any day π₯Ίπ I also just really don't understand how people can actually enjoy/love these episodes when there's a whole ass Min Yoongi missing!! At the time it literally felt like nobody cared about him anymore and had just forgotten all about him! And Yoongi himself even felt the same way as he said so himself and is why he came back so soon! ππ Personally i'd rather you just skip the episodes without Yoongi in them as i'm really gunna miss watching Run with you for like 10 weeks and Run just isn't the same without him anyway! π₯Ίπ (After the next few episodes Yoongi will very sadly be absent for like 10 whole episodes!! ππ)

It was really shitty on Big Hits part to do this without him, especially when they literally know how much Yoongi loves cooking as well! They'd better collab again so Yoongi gets the chance to meet him aswell!! This was so unfair to him and I just feel so bad ππ I really don't know how you can enjoy and praise this when there's literally a whole ass member missing!! Does nobody care about Yoongi!? It's just not the same without him or any member for that matter! I didn't watch this episode or any of the episodes without him because it just doesn't feel right to me. They should have gone on a break while Yoongi was recovering! They've had long breaks from it before and even had one just a couple of months ago so I really don't see why they couldn't have done it for Yoongi aswell?? Bighit just being BigSHIT as usual ππ€¦ββοΈ

The program was about helping farmers, fishers in Korea and promotes ingredients by introducing many new recipe with it. The program launched many new products like Paik's Ham but it was all limited edition.. He didn't promote the product to his own interest but let the farmers use his fame/brand to sell more and help them more.

The jjaglee they made is also good but that is not a very popular or traditional korean cuisine:)

2021-09-23 08:18:10 +0000 UTC- Spam - actually, they do make a turkey spam as well, which is quite tasty - less salty, and more flavorful - rocks in rice - that is why we wash rice first - to get dust, debris, and possible tiny rocks out of it as you wash and rinse it - it's not as big an issue nowadays, but I have actually had rice when I was younger, where it wasn't cleaned properly, and found a rock in my soft sweet rice with my teeth, and *crunch* - not a fun time xD - gochujang - red pepper paste - most Korean foods, if they're red, they have dried red pepper in them, be they flakes, or the paste - doenjang - soybean paste - most Korean foods, if they're tan/beige/brown, use doenjang - some soups/sauces use a mix of gochujang and doenjang in different ratios (like ssamjang)

Ever since you watched and enjoyed the episode with the T1 players, i have been so excited for you to get to this episode just because their chemistry with Chef Paik is absolutely so wholesome and funny at the same time. They're just so endearing to watch.. I love that Mr. Paik was also straighforward in a nice way in giving his critics about their cooking and plating. That's the perfect way to describe a constructive criticism and I love how they both had such a great time and promoting such a great cause.. :) As the familia have said, the episodes are not posted in the order of when they filmed it, so there are episodes in between where Yoongi is gonna be there and episodes where he's not there.. And omg the next episodes... OMG!!!! Probably one of my MOST rewatched run episodes out of all and there's a lot of great run episodes... OMG!!!! Cant wait for next week!!!! :D

2021-09-23 04:02:37 +0000 UTC- Paik - pronounced like "peck/beck" - as a celebrity chef, he does have various products, as well as sponsorships - he also owns chains of restaurants - I recently purchased his bottled mala sauce, it's spicy and delicious, and great mixed in to a variety of things, even just tossed with noodles and some spring greens, for a quick stir fried noodle - my hand is the same as Jimin's - I was taught to, when making rice, that once I finished rinsing and washing the rice, I had to fill it with clean water up to the depth of my hand (up to my wrist) when I lay it flat on the raw rice, and used that as the measure for perfect steamed rice xD - familia, in case you forgot, when RunBTS did that collab with Game Caterers, they had to do that quick naming of celebrities from their photos - one of them was Chef Paik's wife, and since that show happened after this, that is why the boys were dumping on Jimin for forgetting Chef Paik's wife, and said he needed to apologize and make it right with him - it's also why PD Na was adding on by saying he spoke to Chef Paik and he said glowing wonderful things about them and everything, mock shaming Jimin xD

2021-09-23 03:47:17 +0000 UTC- qotd - I can pretty much cook anything I want, if there is an actual recipe I can follow, or, if I'm just creating dishes on my own, all I need to know is the ideal cook style for the protein, and I can just create a dish from that - for me, a better question would be what dish do I wish I had the motivation and energy to cook (I am the first to admit, I am a lazy cook xD), and that would be tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork - Korean Chinese food) - I LOVE tangsuyuk, and I actually DO know how to cook it, I'm just too lazy to go through all the steps and double frying xD - hotteok is actually not that hard to make fresh at home - all you need is a griddle, oil, a round flat press (for when you start cooking and pressing the dough to fry up crisp), and they actually sell hotteok kits with all the ingredients you need, you just need to combine, make the filled dough balls, and fry up yourself - Chef Paik - he actually has a YouTube channel as well, and teaches how to cook all sorts of traditional Korean dishes - he's one of the main Korean recipe channels I use, especially since he mostly teaches recipes for the Seoul palate, and that is what I grew up with, so the flavors are more suiting to my tastes

Donβt know if you noticed but they were actually filming in their dorms lol And as a note, yoongi from this point on will be absent in run, up until recovery and in ones that he is itβs because they were recorded before surgery, keep in mind runs arenβt always released in chronological order.

I'd advise you to try and not read the romanisation because it doesn't do you any good for pronunciation and learning the language in general. If you see on the screen the majority of the words that are romanised are on the screen in Korean, try reading them, it really does help. Like someone else pointed out in the comments, his name sounds like the Beck-(Ham)(The product) in Beckham's name as his name is λ°±μ’ μ. Also, BTS does say the words that you might not be able to pronounce right, try and look out for that cause when they say it, I do see you shadowing it and that's amazing. But, then you suddenly change it and pronounce it differently, don't doubt it. Korean is phonetic so listen out for those words you are unsure of a lot cause they do say the same words many times throughout many Runs. νμ΄ν .

Also, familia, I'll not say much but their chemistry with Mr. Paik was so good that maybe we'll see him again in the future... who knows haha P.S.: and i love too how they never forget to mention or remember Yoongi, it's so cute :((

Familia, the joke with "David Beckham" is because "Paik's Ham" is pronounced almost like Beckham lol, and the joke when Tae was like π it's because Mr. Paik said that he helped with the rice, it was on the captions but i think you got confused and didn't see ππ

For Run episode 128, they'll did it at their apartment as well :) I'm actually looking forward for next week episode :) the episode based on what they choose to do from a couple episode back when they were having a meeting about future run bts.

2021-09-23 00:18:43 +0000 UTCi did watched this show before and was so shocked when they announced BTS gonna be the guest! was expecting BTS to be in the show like other celebrities but its a little different. but still enjoyed it! their chemistry is amaaazing! btw, the way they pronounced his name is baek/bek . not sure why they spelled it as paik though?? oh and about his show, he did a show called 'delicious rendezvous' where the motif of the show is to promote local underrated(?) products just like this one. in this episode, theyre promoting ham. they did promote many other foods as well. in one of the episode, they went to the same house for BTS in the soop season 1 was filmed (the episode with jisoo from blackpink). i was shocked and confused at first ahahahah
