😞 Burnout...

After more than one year of intense work on the game, all while having a full-time IRL job, I regret to say I have reached the breaking point... I finally burned out.
For several months, I have been subjected to extreme stress, to the fear of not producing quickly enough, and to the fear of disappointing you. I can't take it anymore. I'm exhausted and I need a break. The work I share on this page is massive and I know many of you are aware of that. But you also have to know it's too much for only one guy.
During the last year and a half, I worked between 50 and 60 hours a week without taking any vacation. The Lara project was particularly painful (more than 200 hours of work) and even if the result is satisfying, I don't want to live that again. So, I'm going to take a break. I need to rest, to step back and to reorganize myself to pursue this activity I really enjoy and don’t want to stop.
For now, I can't tell when I'll be back. When I do, the shared content will be shifted downward in terms of quantity. I don’t know where exactly I should cut back but, I have to. I'll probably lose some of you, but this is the price to pay to regain good mental health, which is the only thing that matters for me today.
I want to warmly thank you for your support. Without your interest, comments and encouragement, I wouldn’t have been able to finish the Lara project. I can’t express how grateful I am and I feel really bad that it had to come to this situation. But I know I won’t make the same mistakes again and I know I’ll come back stronger.
I hope you’ll understand and hope to recover soon.
