4090 is Dead
Added 2025-03-20 10:34:00 +0000 UTCHey guys. I've been suffering from random shut downs for a while and recently discovered the cause. It appears I wasn't able to avoid the infamous melting cable on my 4090.
No matter what course I take with warranty (I live in the southern hemisphere), repair or insurance claim it's going to take weeks to sort out..
I've got spare 30 series cards but the scenes I was busy with are pretty heavy so I don't think I can actually render them in any decent time frame.
I'll keep you updated as soon as I have news.
