DRAWING WEEK 43 - THE WIRE

I waited way too long to make a drawing about Bubbs. You know all that he's my favorite character into The Wire. But after the season 1, I was just too emotionally... damaged. By the fact he got clean and then went back to dr*gs. I was for sure disappointed, but I was mostly sad for him, to not succeed and I knew he was feeling guilty of it (because he didn't want for McNulty to tell Kima and all), and at this point, I didn't know we would see him again, so I thought we would leave him like that, and I was already working with my mind to imagine him a perfect future.
So when he appeared in middle of season 2, I couldn't believe my eyes, I had to make breaks because of the shock. And I was still not sure we would really see him again, that he would be a recurrent character. Now, we're discovering season 3 together and the fact he is so present, and he's talking about his old life, he resisted to the temptation of Hamsterdam... please, let me have hope for my Bubbs to get clean again and this time, to stay like it. Yes, he's an addict, and he's gonna fight with it all his life, but I want him to get in a better place.
