Hello !

I needed more answers during this final episode of the season but we had some pretty good payments for all of the preparations we had during it. Like for Sabine : she managed to use the Force during one intense fight and she was confronted again to a big decision. And she ended with the same move : going for the personal choice, and letting Thrawn go away. I don't know what to think about it, it means she didn't evolve but at the same time, I understand and I appreciate a lot that Ahsoka understands and accepts. The final scene with Anakin watching them was for me the conclusion of the "legacy" discussion of the season : Sabine and Ahsoka are parts of his legacy, and they all accept it now.

Baylan was called by something else, Thrawn managed to escape… No, we didn't have a lot of answers, but I had one big surprise : Ezra is truly back home ! Before the episode, I was like "the guy is gonna get killed or kidnapped, but I don't think we can get out with him". I was right, and wrong at the same time : he left without us, but he managed to come back home !

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

I know the books because I read all of them, I loved all of them (and I was not a fan of the movies adaptation and I'm still waiting for a good show about it). I think it was a nice reference but I don't think they really wanted to do something with it.

oh there was another thought that i meant to discuss, the title. i'm not sure if you picked up on it but it is a reference to "the lion the witch and the wardrobe" which is the first of the narnia books by c s lewis.

Oooooh, thanks a lot for sharing all of these links ! I found one since a long time and I'm playing it again and again, it has been a long time I blocked on a video like that, I love it so much 🖤

Yes, but remember that during that moment I didn't understand that Ezra could really come back home, I was like "okay so our guy is all by himself inside the enemy ship, hiding as a night trooper", I didn't think he could steal a ship and all. For me, it was more a choice of "following Thrawn and learning more about his plans, or going back to save Ahsoka".

Haaaaa, so Hera's partner was also Ezra's master ? I didn't make that connection And thanks for all of the reminders here, I knew about Sabine who is a real artist but I didn't have all of the ages and I didn't know for example that Hera was older than our guys.

oh yes the last thing the final song that moved you so much is the final part of the song titled "epilogue 2" the entire epilogue including the first part of the credits was all 2 songs. i would imagine that epilogue 1 ends as as we look over all the pods that Thrawn has brought over from peridea. epilogue 2 then begins as ezra's ship is landing on home one and runs through the credits until the purgill theme kicks in. (this is about the time in the credits where the lines leave couruscant) its the majestic part of the theme that we hear in the typical ending theme. from there one the normal ending theme continues like normal. but the part of the song that so moved you is a rearrangment of a previous theme he created called "Where the sun sails and the moon walks" it was an alternative epilogue theme for the season 2 rebels finale. it was rearranged here and mixed in with Ahsoka's personal theme. it was very beautifully done. here is a link to the composer's youtube page. this is epilogue 2 just before that part you enjoyed begins. https://youtu.be/GPnMv9DUxCM?si=iMfYAMAV8NzxbUUA&t=228 here is the a link from the compser's youtube page to the song this is based on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y5hnRQN0vw (i dont recommend you search for "Where the sun sails and the moon walks" as you may get a video of that season 2 finale epilogue with this theme rather than the theme music that was used in the episode. here is a link again to the composer's youtube page of the song that was used instead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8z09ezfIQ_o this version heavily features Ahsoka's theme. here is a cover of the part of epilogue 2 that you enjoyed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13MIfMQWxIQ and since i'm sending out links to music from the series here is the original ending credits song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uF5IPOEFndw&list=OLAK5uy_nwnyuosROclX7s2zYsoytGBi4LfuIz7RE that ending credit song is actually made up of a few different themes. first is Sabine's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua2c0NLWHWA Ahsoka's theme https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXKrvQCChu0 and the purgill's theme https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbcTWWTV9R8

i will make sure not to give you spoiler here but just allow me to say that two very significant things went below your radar. The White Owl that Ahsoka looks at after she returns from space is significant. also the scene with Baylan was a HUGE revelation of what to expect for the future in season 2. and boy oh boy will it be huge. i'm actually really excited to see what they will do. also speaking of Baylan, this isn't a spoiler but it is something you might have missed. i dont know if you did or not as you didn't mention it, but off in the mountains where Baylan is looking there is a pulsing light. presumable that he what he is looking for are at least that is where he is heading. you may need to look carefully to see it or perhaps watch it while it is dark so that the light will pop out more. no one know what is over there but that it seems to be that is where he will go.

also at point where sabine had to make the choice it wasn't really a question about stopping thrawn. even with the two of them there is no way they would have made it to thrawn to try to stop him. the ship was already on their way. Its why Ezra hid as a night trooper until they arrived and then took off. the real choice Sabine had to make was to jump to the ship and go back home with Ezra or stay with Ahsoka. I believe she choose her loyalty to Ahsoka over her familial love for Ezra. either choice was a personal choice, as she loves them both. but she choose to honor her commitment to be Ahsoka's padawan to stand by her side just as Ahsoka vowed to stay at hers.

allow me to try to tell enough relavent information for about the ezra & hera's relationship without outright telling you. rebels ended 10 years before this show began (the current date in show is 9aby, and ezra disappeared in 1bby) as is typical of most shows each season is assumed to take place within about a year and there are 4 seasons of rebels. currently ezra is about 28 (so he was 14 when we first meet him) Finally in the first episode of Ahsoka, we see sabine watching a holomessage that Ezra left for her just before he left. that message said "we've been through a lot. grew up together in this rebellion. and we're not really family, but you're like a sister to me" also of note Sabine is 2 years older than Ezra. the Mural that we see in episode 1 that Sabine was supposed to talk at shows all of the main characters of the Rebels series. i dont think this is really a spoiler but Sabine is the artist of that mural. i dont think thats a spoiler because if you've notice anywhere sabine has been she has left her art. in her room on lothal, in her bunk on Ahsoka's ship, on her bike, on her helmet, on her armor, etc. Ahsoka even says "you have the artists eye" or something to that effect. Kanan, Ezra's master, was about 32 when the show ends and his romantic partner Hera was about 28 at the end of rebels. Jacen was probably born about 7-8 months after the rebels finale. (assuming human like gestation periods for Twi'leks) I imagine you will be able to reach your own conclusions based on the clarification of the time line and the quotes from the Ahsoka show i have provided.
