BANDITO CLASSICS: SPIDER AND MOUSE (colors)

1.) I almost never show you all this stage of the WIPS…but there’s a stage that every single comic page, pin up, and cover go through called the base color stage. It’s what it looks like. You put the appropriate colors down on the inks to create a base layer for all the rendering and effects. It’s kind of a cool step (especially if you’re the one that drew the inks) because it really defines the characters and brings them to real life for the first time.
2.) OMG I LOVE THIS COMIC BETWEEN SPIDER AND MOUSE! I have always loved the chemistry between these two. Spider isn’t interrogating Mouse. Or using her laughter to power her space ship or something. LOL. She’s just really REALLY into tickling Mouse. And of course Mouse is too busy screaming in ticklegasmic ecstasy to really be flattered or anything. Ha.
