Harlot Art - The Madam

I must admit, The Madam is one of the characters I have problems with visualising. She's supposed to be at once both very old and doddering, while at the same time still looking quite hot and very fuckable. That generally sends my imagination haywire. Although, in theory, if she was a character in a movie or anime, the way to show that would be to have an early-thirtysomething (and attractive actress) play her with the mannerisms of a far older person.
I think the art does a good job of depicting that. Old hairstyle and decadent courtesan dress, young face. And, in the lingerie pose - a very voluptuous and sexy body.

And as for The Madam getting a proper scene in the House, that's something I still haven't finalised. She could just as easily show up as an extra NPC encounter, the queen of one of the factions, or even the final 'boss' the player has to survive in order to escape the House. I haven't decided yet.

Fetish Marie Antoinette is about right. I was thinking of classic brothel ideas from history and figured a fancy French one would fit. If I ever did a sequel, it might be fun to use a historical Japanese version instead, maybe with the same Madam, but a different look. The Madam might end up the boss of the House/Succubus faction, or she might fulfil a different endgame role. Still working that out. She would make a pretty cool meta/uber boss that can only be selected if the player has done all the other paths. I don't think that meta progress is easy to implement in Twine though. It is something I have on my todo list if I migrate it or a sequel to Godot/Unity. I'd like to add an external 'little black notebook' that holds all the information the player has learned across all their runs (and to also provide easy skip options for harlots when they've been encountered so many times the player doesn't want to go through the same scenario again).

2023-04-05 10:47:38 +0000 UTCThat's one of the ideas I have for the 'Queens'. The min-bosses will be parallel scenes the player can choose (mainly to stop them getting boring for subsequent runs). The 'Queens' will be more sequential depending on player progress. If the 'Queen' likes the player, they see more skills.

I saw her as a very attractive glamorous looking women in her early to mid-forties with powdered face and make-up to match her Rocco fashion style. Sort of fetish Marie Antoinette. I guessed she was going to be the final boss of the House of Madam/posh succubus faction. It would be cool if she could be some post-game content uber boss for those who defeat each of the final bosses/complete each faction story-line, but I don’t know if the way the save system works would allow that.

Why doesn't the Madam have her wings, tail, and horns out? Her being in human form is to ensure that her succubus aura doesn't make all men ignore her harlots because they'll all want to fuck her? And yeah, it is fitting if the Madam is the final boss. She did start this business. Art looks awesome!

Indeed, many seasoned madams know 'what' to do, they just may not have the motivation to do it for all their clients or all at once. As a result, they focus on 'teaching', but only seldom show their true skills and rarely all at once.
