No Excuses!!

So I just posted the latest chapter but I wanted to share a bit more of why it took so long to write. I caught Covid, had to be admitted into the hospital, lost my job, and when I was released, my girlfriend and I broke up before losing the apartment. It's been a hellish couple of months. I'm living with my parents again while contemplating things.

I don't like excuses but I will say it's been hard to write. I'll have more time now so it should be easier. Thank you guys. I always keep you in my thoughts. Be safe! And enjoy the new chapter!!

Oh, also I'm officially off ADHD meds for the first time in 6 years and feeling great. Dude, you have talent and skill, and I doubt it's simply limited to writing (even though that's great as well). You'll push through and you'll make it out of this. I believe in you.

"except using" = exercising

I think part of the 5hing is you gotta think of yourself as still in transition. A year ago my grandmother passed away, and while I was recovering emotionally from that, I switched ADHD meds which made me insomniac for about 4 days, and caught a hard case of an Influenza-like infection same day, so I spent 3 weeks recovering at my parents' place. It took me a couple of months to relearn how to fall asleep, and by that time, it was COVID-19 and lockdowns everywhere, so I had to relearn how to be okay with being alone. 2020 has been the garbage fire year to end all garbage fires, but the good news is that you push through that and you get yourself better. I've now been losing weight for the first time since February, I'm except using every day, and I'm moving out of my apartment to get away from a toxic relationship (non-romantic) I have with my current roommate. It's cliche to say that things get better, but I guarantee things don't stay the same, and you, my friend, have a lot of say in where they go.

I also went through withdrawal from benzos, which may have made me take longer than normal. It took me about two months to start feeling like getting up in the morning. Just remember to get help if you need it, and definitely try to focus on other things. I watched whole seasons of pretty pointless shows and read tons of fanfiction.

Im back with my parents recovering. It just sucks... its hard not to think how unfair this whole thing is. Im trying not to think about anything so i dont have a panic attack. I hope it gets better.

That's all really awful. In this case, yes, that's definitely an acceptable reason. How has your COVID recovery been so far? As someone who has gone through that sort of life changing event (lose job, lose long-term gf, lose apartment, move back in with parents) I can say that it does get better, but it took me about a year, and that's without the COVID factor.

Kevin

I still don't even know how i feel about all that. Writing helps keep me forget, so im sticking with that for now. Thank you guys. I hope you enjoy the update
