Colt watched the pack of 21 Beowolves that were currently roaming around the woods near a village that he had been requested to help eliminate, up high in the branches.
Taking a slow deep breath, he focused on Archer's arm before muttering the aria of his Magecraft.
"Trace — On."
A flash of blue shone on his left hand before a long black bow formed. He stands up from his location, to which the branch that he was on started straining, before adding to the weight by tracing a normal steel arrow that he personally crafted.
It was a horrible piece of craftsmanship, which even he cringed at as a fake of a fake, but it did the job and costed little to no Od, so he continued to use them.
Notching the arrow, he pulled back on the metal string, hearing the familiar sound of creaking and aimed.
The Beowolves, who had super hearing, looked up to see their potential meal, and roared at him for intimidation. Colt just smirked before Reinforcing the arrow with Od, and beyond its normal limit.
Cracks started appearing on the arrow, and it started vibrating due to the excessive Od in it, but he ignored it and instead added a new property to the arrow with Alteration, with the property of exploding with the Od in it as fuel after 1 second.
Finishing the process in 0.6 seconds, he aimed the shot into the middle of the pack for the maximum damage before firing.
The arrow hits true, and it went boom.
*BOOOOOMMM!!!*
The blast was so powerful that it evaporated the surroundings, leaving charred wildlife and bodies around the blast zone. With a majority of Beowolves dead, he waited for the remaining few Beowolves to group up before repeating his action, tracing another arrow and fired it with less explosive power.
*BOOOM!*
"Beowolves sure have low intelligence..."
He commented before dismissing his bow and gazed at the destruction that he caused.
"... 0.6 seconds, huh? I still have a long way to go."
He simply muttered to himself as he analyzed his actions prior. He came a long way from needing 3.1 seconds to Reinforce, Alter, and fire the arrow to only needing 0.6 seconds, but Archer could do it in less than 0.1 seconds with time to spare.
Granted, it only had been a year since he transmigrated with this damn arm of his, but still he expected to be on his level of Magecraft by now, especially since he had almost died for this information.
Yep, he pulled away the Shroud covering the cursed arm of his, to get a ranged option that he sorely lacked after hunting Grimm for the past 3 months. It was foolish, and he swore that his mind broke a few times, but with enough elbow grease and a month of recovery, he finally got another Noble Phantasm... a pseudo-Noble Phantasm, to be exact.
This bow of Archer was created for the sole purpose of firing Broken Phantasms, Noble Phantasms that are supercharged with Od to the point of breaking. A Broken Phantasm, in theory, could destroy a whole city if supercharged to its upmost limit, with the expense of losing a Noble Phantasm, the treasure and trump card of a Servant.
No Servant in the right mind would do such a thing... Unless you were a Servant who could print out Noble Phantasms like nobody's business.
He only had a pair of Noble Phantasms to trace, Kanshou and Bakuya, but the problem was that they were too short to act as arrows, especially when the black bow of Archer's is meant to fire long arrows.
Well, at least he gained something more important upon unveiling the Shroud.
He was passively gaining Archer's battle experience every time he sleeps. More specifically, upon entering REM sleep, he has been obtaining battle experience to level up the skill Mind's Eye (True) that Archer gained in his life before becoming a Counter Guardian.
Note that Mind's Eye (True) is a skill that is gained not naturally, as in Servants need experience to master. The skill is not a result of talent, but an overwhelming amount of combat experience.
Mind's Eye (Fake) though, is a skill that is gained naturally, like Instincts in nature, basically talent to avoid danger based on a sixth sense that comes naturally upon birth.
Anyways, after one year of traveling around the world of Remnant, if he was using Fate's level system, his parameters are:
STR: E
END: D
AGI: D
MANA: B
LUK: E
NP: C
It's naturally given that his stats are worse than Archer, since he was a pseudo-Servant that has the original body of past Colt Lee.
Meanwhile, his current skills are:
Clairvoyance E
Capable of keeping track of fast-moving object within a range of one kilometer. Colt acquires this by applying Reinforcement to his eyes. Though this skill is still incomplete due to his mediocre mastery of Magecraft.
Mind's Eye (True) D
Capable of calm analysis of battle conditions even when in danger and deduce an appropriate course of action after considering all possibilities to escape from a predicament. Though this skill is still incomplete due to Colt Lee's lack of battle experience.
Magecraft D
Capable of using orthodox Thaumaturgy, such as Reinforcement to temporarily increase the essence of the tool and Projection to grasp the structure of the substance and temporarily replicate it.
Though this skill is still incomplete due to his mediocre mastery of Magecraft.
But, when he uses Reinforcement on his body, his parameters change slightly.
STR: E+
END: D+
AGI: D+
MANA: B
LUK: E
NP: C
It may look little, but the boost was significant, at most 100% times more if he pumped as much Od as he could, filling all the "cracks" in his body to the limit.
Theoretically, he could surpass even Archer's physical prowess if he tried his best.
But, this world is quite frightening.
He had the pleasures to work with other Huntsmen during missions that required more than a few Huntsmen. And they were horrifying parameters-wise.
Remnant's power system was Aura, the manifestation of one's soul. With this power, Huntsmen could do a plethora of things, but the most common application is to strengthen one's body or protecting the body with a force-field like barrier around them.
Passively, even without the need to concentrate, Aura will strengthen a person's body to E levels of strength. And if they were to actively try to strengthen their body, they could reach D or even C ranked physical prowess.
And don't get him started with Semblances. It is the manifestation of one's innate and personal power as an ability unique to each individual, and it varies per person (Unless it is hereditary).
And this was the horrifying part. They were all pseudo-Marble Phantasms. In layman terms, they could reshape the world according to their will and its existing laws, reconstructing the world through probability alteration.
If he could give an example of a Marble Phantasm, imagine a white marble along with ninety-nine black marbles inside a sack. All the marbles, black or white, represents the natural phenomenon that occur in the world, black being what usually happens, and white being what user wants to happen.
A Marble Phantasm would change the probability of grabbing a white marble from the sack of marbles to a certain 100% rate of success. No matter how unlikely a phenomenon it is, it’s guaranteed to occur if you use a Marble Phantasm.
From instantly switching places with an object, creating an autonomous aura construct that helps in battle, bad luck manipulation around the user, etc.
Horrifying.
*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!*
Snapping out of his thoughts at the sound of his watch beeping, he quickly travels to the village that commissioned him to deliver the news that all surrounding Grimm had been taken down. This should keep the village safe for a few more weeks if their emotions don't go astray.
God knows how bad Grimm invasions are. Seeing it was horrible for the heart, especially one who had the whole arm of a hero of justice.

He sighed in relaxation, something very rare from him, as he stared at the scenery that was Vale's central district. The architecture was more medieval European than Victorian, with technologies that people his age in Earth would never see in their generation.
In fact, he noticed from his travels that the world that he was currently in had a lot of similarities in terms of references. The Kingdoms had multiple references to Asia, Europe, Australia, even America.
Breathing out slowly, he leaned back on the bench of his and closed his eyes, enjoying the sunlight that shone through the leaves of the tree behind him. Breathing in, he took in the smell of an unpolluted world before sighing once more.
The air in this world was so clean, particularly due to Wind Dust that were modified to absorb and release filtered air that were stationed every few blocks. In fact, this park that he was in had multiple of them.
He still had no idea how they worked. Structural Grasp only works with materials that he knows of, and Archer's arm does not recognize any mineral or mechanics of this world.
*CRASH!*
Freezing at the sudden sound, he tilts his head to the direction of glass shattering before sighing. A robbery was happening, it's surprisingly quite frequent for there to be crime here, especially since there were five to six mafia gangs in Vale.
Opening his eyes, Colt gets up from his bench before tracing the full length of the Shroud to cover his face. Colt himself would never bother with these, since they take up his free time, but the arm of Archer would sting if he doesn't.
It's never wrong to help someone in need.
Reinforcing his body, he took off towards the direction with a lingering thought.
Seems like a certain someone didn't fully let go of his ideal.
You're such a tsundere, Archer.
