dev log #21, october 30th, 2023

First, a sneakpeek(from ouro):

...and much like a pet wouldn’t know the meaning of when you murmur ‘good girl’, you cannot comprehend more of the trees whispers than a general sense of reassurance: you are going the right way, headed down the right path. This is good, your skin tells you; the breeze washes over you like a blanket drawn past bedtime, like a cup of tea in the kitchen, three hours past midnight when everything consists of hope, of potential. Tomorrow will be different, you tell yourself and close your eyes to the breeze. You dream. And the trees sing, asking for a pittance of trust. It is telling you, like an owner to their pet in a language beyond their tongue, that it is okay. It has always been okay. It will always be okay.  You just have to try.

It is very telling of what headspace I've been in, eh? It feels like now when I've had a moment to parse what has been going on with me for the past months, personally and mentally, I have finally started to put those thoughts to paper, gifting the horrors I have been going through to the hunter/pathfinder. I have added one fun thing after another to the in game text, a scattering of good ideas and musings that have spilled over from creating a new outline. I'm so excited for nano. I'm trying to keep my hopes low and my attitude nonchalant, because we all know that as soon as you start chalanting shit starts to go left. It has really helped! 

Now, I didn't post Leith's shortstory this friday, but I wrote and I wrote, all weekend, and I think it's coming out really good! I might even place it in the game... Either way, after this goes up I'm sitting down to write even more of it, hoping I can post it before wednesday and the start of nano- my posts will get very patchy after that, I'm sure.
