Tascam ASMR Test For Fun! ✨ ❤️

I tried to do this once before when I lived with my mom, but all the traffic made it hard to do anything experimental there tbh 💀 Now that I'm on my own again I thought I could try out the Tascam once again to see how it sounded for some ASMR triggers! :)
Off the bat I know I need to be careful with how I talk and breath if I ever use this- particularly my Ps and Bs lol xD I'm not sure if the heartbeat picked up. I thought I heard it during recording, but I don't think that was successful lol. Either way, this was just for fun so let me know what you liked/didn't like! :D
✨ Edit: I just want to clarify that this was just for fun! My 3Dio is still perfectly fine and I’ll continue to use that for my roleplays. I just thought it would be fun to see how this sounded for experimental purposes :P

You bring up a good point I didn’t think about: add ons! Thinking about it, the videos I’ve seen of people using a tascam, a lot of them seem to have “buffers” or something; kinda like my fluffy ear covers for the 3Dio. Even though I’ve been doing ASMR for a bit now there’s still so much I don’t know! XD I love learning though and appreciate your feedback Kai, thank you ❤️

2025-04-18 00:41:37 +0000 UTCThe Tascam is definitely sensitive to vocal noise and sounds nice for soft whispers based asmr. I did notice with the Q-Tip that it sounded more scratchy compared to say a 3-Dio or other mics with ear-type receivers. For the heartbeat, I think I noticed a bit of thumping when you attempted it, but was a bit on the quiet side. Perhaps this is a mic that might need add-ons to improve on noises requiring contact proximity triggers, but triggers where the proximity is just close to them can work perfectly fine (just bare in mind the sensitivity).
