So, I wanted to take a bit of a breather, themewise, after Reality Wiki. The extra grind on it had me sort of worn down and I was looking to do something short and simple that wouldn't have too much overlap. At 8,000 words, this didn't quite turn out that way, but it was certainly a big help! I'm coming out of this one in much better shape, mentally, than the last one and I hope to leverage that to good effect for the next one.

It felt really good to go back and do another 'device' story. I get a lot of people asking about them, but I haven't done a proper one like this in a good while. This one's for all of you patient folks out there!
