Sneak peek - 1.15 (SFW)

Hey everyone, It's time for a sneak peek/Update of the next version. I don't want to spoil anything that happens in the update, but as you can see in the preview pics there will be a couple new characters (One is a new side LI, guess which one.) and Frank loses control of his dreams, again.

Major changes

I decided that after fighting with renpy to transfer saves between chapters and failing, to just scrap the idea of a second chapter altogether and to just keep it all as one game. Your saves from chapter one will still work. Though you will have to speed through 1.14 again.

Keeping the game as a single chapter will make things a lot easier from a dev standpoint. I'll be able to call back from any choice instead of the few that I had at the start of chapter 2, making for a more cohesive story. It will also avoid all the inevitable "My save isn't working" messages.

The one downside is that the main game file will continue to get bigger with each update. Though patches will still be made for each update (usually around 300 - 500mb).

Minor changes

I've gone through and fixed even more spelling/grammar errors from 0.1 to 1.14.

Added new menu backgrounds. They work sort of like checkpoints in the game. Once you reach a certain spot, the main menu will change. If you load an old save and pass a different checkpoint the menu will change to that. There are 3 new menu images plus the original. More will be added as the game goes on.

Other Stuff

Valentines is a few days away, I'll be making a post full of wallpapers.

1.15 is scheduled to be done and released before the the end of February.
