1/24/25 Playlist Reveal: TikTok Edition

If you followed the news—or have relied on US TikTok recently—you probably felt the chaos last week: from the app feeling doomed, to being banned for half a day, and then suddenly coming back, all in what felt like an eternity. Total whiplash.
I have a love-hate relationship with TikTok personally. It’s taught me new skills, shown me new perspectives, introduced me to indie artists, and served as an endless dopamine source when life got too heavy. When it briefly disappeared, I felt the loss. So much so, I made a playlist to commemorate what the app has been: something truly unique. (Though, I have to admit, my attention span did slightly improve a bit during the downtime lol)
This playlist features new artists I discovered, last year’s viral hits, and meme sounds that every chronically online person knows. And yes, I did mean to put "Die with a Smile" by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga on there twice since, even though TikTok is back, it's hard to say when it will be removed again. So, time will tell if we'll get to keep it. But yeah, here it is.
