352 The thinking Rats

Alright, this is a rehash of the cliché low-level adventure where the group of adventurers must go down to a basement, sewers, or another underground location and do pest control because rats have grown too big or too aggressive.
Is it any different to do pest control when the rats can talk and understand what you're saying. You bet it's not gonna be the same. In this story, a strange introvert with the uncanny ability to understand rodents feeds them a magical concoction to make them more intelligent. The process works but it also causes the unintended consequence of the rats growing in size and meanness. The out-of-control rats have killed a few construction workers and now all work is on pause until someone fixes the mess. The rats can talk and apparently have some sort of consciousness. Perhaps it is possible to negotiate with them. Who knows what a rat wants?
