For about the past 6 months, I’ve been waking up to recalling innumerable vivid dreams of playing all kinds of instruments, and every time I wake up astonished, and also impressed by the fact that I played instruments I’ve never learned physically. I had to take pictures of these two passages from a book based of the wisdom of the Eastern desert fathers of Christianity. It teaches how to meditate and effectively internalise the pure teachings from original Christianity, which has been lost in most modern Christian groups. The book is called The Way of Ascetics, and it reads like the Tao Te Ching. When read in a mindful and meditative way, it holds some very powerful teachings on how to live our lives with more awareness.
