Hate to tell you, but Blue Prince isn't a "new" concept. There was an indie horror game called Kraven Manor from 2014 that did the building the map first.

2025-04-16 16:43:04 +0000 UTCI got to the 46th room at 20 hours, nearly on the dot. I am kinda scratching my head at the negative reviews. Not that I don't agree that RNGesus hates us, just more so how people are giving up and saying the game doesn't respect their time...when they're not listening to the game's own suggestions (or haven't found them). - always try something new - read everything - take notes - if you find something weird..it's probably on purpose - Certain rooms get harder the more you take advantage...so skip the puzzle to save you energy later - don't focus on one puzzle and getting that one room--you'll miss EVERY clue for other things - RNG adjustments come later, but won't remove the struggle. These last 2 points are people's make or break for if they will enjoy the game. You can't beat RNG, that's the point. If you try to, you're working against the game and will run out of patience.
