Great video and series! Feel exactly the same about Vagrant Story - give me quick weapon swap and a new lick of paint and I'd probably play through it once a year or so.

2024-09-20 17:27:28 +0000 UTCI loved Parasite Eve and even it's sequel. Never had a PSP so I didn't get to play 3rd Birthday. I'm glad to see someone giving these games some attention and love these days, as with the Megaman Legends episode. I'm really liking what Marty's putting out there with this series.

2024-09-17 12:45:25 +0000 UTCI've said it before and I'll say it again: I love it when Marty writes and narrates a piece about something he loves or loves to talk about. I had no idea at all about Parasite Eve (having been introduced to video games later) and was fascinated nonetheless - in fact, I would have watched his longform essay about it, had he wished to make one. (Similar thing for Darren's pieces, by the way.)

2024-09-16 20:22:16 +0000 UTCI really liked this episode, I really appreciate learning the history behind Japanese games since most people from the 90s are still working today and seeing people who made something I like now working on something all those years ago is always a pleasure. I also massively appreciate the shout-out to the indie game at the end there, influencers and gaming outlets should contribute to spreading the word of smaller indie games since AAA insists on failing us and their employees time and time again, especially in the past few years
