It's more of a cult classic that older fans of the science fiction genre would be most familiar with. Kind of a shame, since it was so influential and ahead of its time.

2023-01-12 14:48:11 +0000 UTCMaking Deckard a replicant would be shock for shock's sake and ruin the through line of the film ... that a human can love a self-aware A.I. being. And at the end, vice vesa as Deckard's life is saved by a replicant that valued life from whatever source it was derived.
