2020-12-13 22:47:55 +0000 UTCAbout the discussion on the death sentence in the United States, from what I just read online, 28 states out of 50 have the death penalty, but there is also a federal death penalty which has 60 people waiting on that list, but most have to wait a lifetime for it to happen, it depends on who is the president elect. (I'm not from the US so don't take my word for it, I'm from Swdden). Some presidents like to kill people, some don't, but most do. Same thing goes for the states, the governor of the state has to order all executions him/herself, which means that some people sentenced don't ever get killed, if they're lucky. I don't know what's worst, waiting 30 years to be killed, or getting killed straight away. It's a barbaric ritual that is just that, and only that; a barbaric ritual.

2020-12-13 06:54:52 +0000 UTCThank you both for a great watch-along :-) By the way, if you didn't already know, the novel it was based on was written by Stephen King and this movie is number one on IMDB's Top 250 Movies list, I remember in film-class in 1998, it was already then hailed as the best movie ever made.

2020-12-11 16:54:54 +0000 UTCThis movie is number 1 at IMDB, also 1 of my favourites. It gets 7 Oscar nominations but didn't win one of them. I'm at your side Ellie (did I spell it right?) on the dead penalty discussion. Btw this year alone there are 8 federal prisoners, with a dead sentence, executed in the USA and some states did a several as well. You said at the beginning 'why they choose sad movies, I cry a lot' or something like that, but you are honest and pure when you cry and thats a good thing for a reaction video, I think (or you can act very good ;) ) Btw, but for a more like happy/funny movie (with also sad parts in it ofcourse) I recommend 'Forrest Gump' with Tom Hanks or 'The Truman Show' with Jim Carrey.
