new moon in pisces ~

today’s new moon in pisces is interesting. today is one of the luckiest days of my year (:

pisces is my native sign and i have many strong pisces placements. descriptions of “pisces people” are usually pretty accurate to my personality and identity. my lifestyle is informed by these traits; dreamy, sensitive, elusive, slippery when wet. some people consider pisces the flakiest sign, unstable and insecure. personally, i would argue that we are not necessarily “flaky”. we are simply floating on top of life, fluid and flexible, not the type to swim against the stream.  daydreams are more enticing than reality, and we often retreat to our own little fantasy worlds of art or games or weed or sleep.

we are blessed with a VIVID imagination. though we live on the world, we don’t always feel like we fit in it. we’re also pretty quick to fall in love and out again. it all comes down to our innate understanding of how reality works: what you see is what you get. once you lose grasp on our attention, we will likely float away towards something happier. unfortunately, this escapism can become a habit. some even warn pisces natives of substance abuse- that’s how badly we long to escape our troubles. i tell those people to chill out and mind their own business lol

the new moon lends this piscean energy onto us all.  a new moon brings a sparkle in the air, new beginnings on a subatomic level. this new moon is empowered by pisces ruling planet of jupiter, which is also the planet in charge of our abundance and joy. 

this moon can make it hard to focus on reality, mundane tasks, and even writing this has sent my mind wandering away from what i’m doing and sneaking towards my tantalizing daydreams. the message of today is to remind yourself of joy:

where do you find it? what makes you so happy you lose yourself when you enjoy it?

rifle through your pleasures and find one you can ride out for the long term. anything you wish for in your deepest self can be manifested by the power of the moon + the power of your courage. suspend disbelief and imagine perfection, then follow the feelings that guide you.

soon you will see the seeds begin to sprout!
