Those eyes were incredibly important to get right. I've heard that expression that eyes are the gateway to the soul, I incorporate that saying into my artwork in a handful of ways. There are some acceptations, but I usually use pupils as a way of conveying consciousness or identity change, specifically the color. Another crucially important factor in using eyes is the expression, you have to be incredibly certain in what you're trying to convey and how you're going to convey it. Even small changes to the eyes can change the expression much more than you'd think, the bags, the wrinkles, the amount the eye is open, all so important.

I could always do expression work better, granted that goes for every aspect of my artwork, but at the end of the day, I think I can say I'm really proud of this whole comic. I did what I wanted to do, I wanted to show stress and fear, but also peace, relaxation and guidance. I wanted to have the most positive start I could into the future, something that I could look back and say, "At the time, I certainly put my best foot forward, I wore my heart on my sleeve, and I'm happy."

Also, thank you to my audience for being as kind and incredible as you are. Your support has meant the universe to me. You all have helped me feel so much happier in my own skin, I feel like I can be myself, like reaching my goals is truly possible. Without everything that's happened here, I don't know if I'd be trying to move forward with finding support groups, figuring out how to get myself care, everything. I've got a long journey ahead of me, but I'm so glad I have you all by my side. Hope y'all like!
