There's a little bit of a story behind this one, I made this the day before Nintendo's big direct on September 12th. I don't know if I've expressed it before online, but I am a massive fan of the Mario Galaxy games, Galaxy 2 was my Mario game for so much of my life. Ever since the rumors in 2020 of the 3D Mario remasters, I've been hoping for so long that Galaxy 2 would come to Switch. It's strange to think, I know, but it wasn't even just about being able to play the game in HD, it was also about seeing my favorite 3D Mario game in the spotlight again, it getting that level of care and attention was a dream to me.
After all this time of waiting and hoping and just never seeing it, I felt something with this direct coming that I didn't feel before. There was a weird amount of talk surrounding a Galaxy 2 remaster, showing up in tons of thumbnails, leakers talking about it occasionally. Also, there was so much talk surrounding the second movie, the idea of it being a Mario Galaxy movie specifically. Everything was lining up to be a Galaxy fan's dream, it was almost too good to be true, until I saw it all. The beginning of that Nintendo Direct was everything I could've wanted and more. I've got my reaction on film, and holy smokes, I have never heard more excitement for video game stuff come out of me than in that 5 minutes of Galaxy stuff.
The price is a little wonky, but personally, I will take it. I remember saying to my partner, "I will buy this game with a big, smelly, yellow smile." Anyways, I'm probably blabbering a little too much about these games, told you I'm a mega fan, heh. Hope y'all like!
