In all honesty though, this is totally something Kin would do in like... 7th grade, because he's tired of EVERYONE commenting on his red hair. Middle schoolers teasing him calling him "fire crotch"... asking him if the carpets match the drapes, etc. Even strangers stopping him on the street to compliment the color of his hair would start to piss him off.
So he makes the dumb decision to dye his hair black and IMMEDIATELY regrets it. Fletch thinks this is one of the funniest things Kinley has ever done-- and he cherishes that yearbook picture, where Kinley's eyebrows are still ginger as fuck but his hair is jet black lolololol.
