One of the Many Interdictor False Starts

I could not let a Friday go by without posting some sort of update or content to you guys, especially now that we're so close to beginning a new era in my Patreon campagin.

As it happens, I have been pondering and planning a new story for quite a long time. I knew I wanted to write/illustrate an epic adventure story since 2014, but only in 2015 I started to really point it towards a direction that lead it to what it is today (a sci-fi story).
On top of that, ever since then I've started to scribble and jot down notes regarding what I thought the story would be, and kept making tons and tons of changes onto it, adding things, mixing others, removing certain portions, etc. It took me years to really refine my idea for it.

Throught that time, I had lots of 'fake starts', where I started writting down scripts and short stories, trying to get the whole thing started, but stopping right then and there. My latest attempta at starting it was very early last year, somewhere around January 2017 or so. I wrote a 20 pages script for the prologue for the Interdictor, where we see the Emperor returning home to his wife and children, before having to break down the bad news for them.
I showed it to my writting teacher at the time and he complained it was too long and boring (until the big reveal, at least). This is one of the reasons I have decided to shorten up the prologue in my new version to only 7 pages (one of which is a splash page even) alongside other many changes I have done to the story and the overall plot in these almost 2 years.

Since I didn't want these to go to waste, I decided to share whatever finished work I had done on these with you guys. There is a chance you've probably seen one or another of those in my Twitter, but not the entire thing, this you get to see only here.

Sadly, all these pages and concepts will be discarded, but so is the process of creating something; failing and learning why, that so next time you can do better.

Now, without any further ado, enjoy the first 8 pages (alongside 4 inked and colored ones) of my previous draft of the Interdictor, that I did almost a couple years ago.
On top of that, any comment/critique you guys have on style and aesthetic is super appreciated.
