Patreon Plans + Changes
Added 2018-10-04 14:07:23 +0000 UTCHello there everybody! I have an announcement to make~
With the end of the first part of Call me Yours right around the corner, there will be only one more 20 pages-ish issue/part left before I'm completely done with this new series that I created after The Golden Week was over.
I've been pondering about other projects I might do with these furry romance comics done and have inquired with all of you and asked for suggestions, but I have made up my mind and decided to start up the Interdictor comic project.
Interdictor is an adventure sci-fi story that I've been cooking up since early 2015, it also went through several changes and iterations since, I even almost started it up once, but decided to leave it as sketches before proceeding with it, allowing myself more time for it's planning.
Thing is, I've been postphoning this project for years, just waiting until my skills as an artist and storyteller evolved to the point that I could reliably tell this story just the way I'm picturing it in my head. Problem is that this "peak artist level" could be next month or next decade, and if I keep 'avoiding' it, I'll never begin it. Therefore, I'll be starting work on Interdictor immediatelly!
My plan is to finish up part one of Call me Yours, then do the first issue of Interdictor, and then go back to Call me Yours and do the second part. In a way, this period where I produce the first chapter of Interdictor is more or less of a trial period, to see if people dig the story and will be wanting more of it or if reception won't be as warm as I think.

Some of you might think of it as unfair to leave CmY unfinished for however long it takes me to finish chapter one of Interdictor, but I believe it's best for me.
On the other hand, I've been flirting with the idea that if I were to reach a steady monthly earning of 600$ on Patreon, I'd be doing two pages per week (something that so far has never happened), but if it does, we can do one page of Interdictor and one of CmY part 2 per week, or two weekly pages of Interdictor that so it ends faster, whichever you guys think is best.
When TGW ended I also changed the Patreon charge method from weekly to monthly to try and end up with the fake/fraudulent pledges, but it didn't end that at all (and I think it never will), so I'm going to revert back to the weekly method.
Currently people pay 5$ per month to be able to see the early pages (or more if they're willing). My plan is to change it to 2$ per week (or 3$, if that ain't too much), which would total up 8$ per month.
So is it going to get more expensive? Not necessarely,
With the weekly plan in place, you can also limit how much you're willing to pay per month, so you can limit it to 2$, 4$ or 6$ if you wish.
For me, despite being a good thing to have lots of money, I believe it's better for my work to be more accessible for more people who wish to support me, but can't afford a whole lot per month.
In the past, I also changed things around to have more Patron tiers, each with it's own rewards to go with, but try as I might, I did (and possibly always will) fail miserably at fulfilling these. So I'm going to remove different Patron tiers and leave it at a single tier (the 2$ per week). I'll still be posting sketches and extras whenever possible, but I can't promise it to be frequent or on time.
TL;DR part 1; There's 2 more pages of CmY Part 1. Then I'll work on the first chapter of Interdictor as a sort of trial to see if people like it. Then I'll come back to finish part 2 of Call me Yours while I analyse everyone's reactions to it.
TL;DR part 2: I'll change my Patreon to have one single tier; 2$ per week, which you can then limit to a maximum monthly amount to fit your budget. Furthermore, if we reach a steady 600$/month patronage, I'll be doing two pages per week through that month.
I believe these changes will make everything fair, better and transparent between me and you guys.
If you disagree with any of the above or have something else you'd like to suggest/comment on, please do. I'd love to hear your opinion on the matter.
And finally, thank you all so very much for your continued support through all these years, it means the world to me to be able to work on my art and comics with your guy's support and I hope to be able to keep doing that for as long as I keep having ideas for new comics and projects! :D

(as for commissions, they're NOT patreon exclusive, everyone can inquire with me about them, but due to all the work I do, I cannot promise they'll be done in a timely manner since I try to squeeze these in my free time whenever I can. So if you have patience to spare, feel free to contact me regarding those!)
