My Dress Up Dandadan Sketch!

I've been thinking that I really need to post more frequently (here and on my socials) but I'm a bit slow at drawing so the only thing I can do with more frequency and less stress is to post sketches. I've always been a bit hesitant to do so because I think my sketches are quite ugly and it makes it doubly worse that I really struggled with this one in particular lol (why is Momo's face so hard to draw?? I keep struggling with her in all my art of her).

But do you guys like seeing sketches? Also with showing sketches, I feel like it ruins the "surprise" of what I'm working on. Like you see the sketch and then you're not as interested in the finished piece. But I'm eager to hear what you guys think about the idea of me posting sketches!

Ya I am afraid of that. my growth on twitter has completely stalled so I was thinking I could post sketches every other day to see if that will boost it up. I'll try it out for a month or 2 to see what results I get

I get what you mean by the whole surprise thing. At least on Patreon, I don’t think that’s a concern, but Twitter has that phenomenon where they’ll either click on a sketch or ignore it. Or the completed thing gets less attention than the sketch.

lol I love that description! and that completely makes sense. I have/will never use AI and thankfully have not been accused of using AI either but if seeing sketches helps combat against the soullessness of AI, I'm all for showing my sketches.

Your sketches are... not sketchy. As far as I'm concerned AI is killing the heart and soul of creating art, which is the creative process. Getting to see how a picture is made gives us an insight. It's like going to a Michelin 3-star restaurant where you can have a sneak peek into the kitchen to see how your exquisite dinner is made.
