I'm relieved to say I've secured (some of the) new Patreon Prints for the next package coming up + something fresh for C2E2 later this month! I was scrambling for both and so I figured, instead of stressing over brand new art, why not resuscitate some old bangers? It's honestly a lot easier to produce in a short time span and gives me a good jumping off point to 're-imagine' my 're-imaginings'. It's cathartic, tbh. I'm still getting back on my feet after being in Idaho for so long- so hopefully-! Everyone is excited to see this crossover again XD Obviously, I'm all or nothing, so I'll be sure to bring back the Warriors and Thieves later this year as well. I would also not be opposed to doing all of the other dresspheres, though that would be an intense undertaking that I can't commit to atm....so....pray on it I guess :P
So, these are Re-draw/Re-paint hybrids, it's a mixed bag- but I'll go into detail on each:
For all of them, I made their hair FLUFFY!!!! I tried to stay on model more before with simpler shapes- but nah, those days are over man, fluff it up.
Rosalina took the least amount of work. It was mostly to do with her anatomy- her stomach before was very strange. The feet/boots didn't make much sense. Boobies needed some help. Outfit was already good imo- just a couple changes there to make it clean, crisp and elegant.
Peach was a big overhaul because her body and pose before were NOT working and looked very silly. Her face was weird. Her hair was very banana like. The silhouette was impossible to fit onto prints. Almost a total do-over here. Especially on the design itself. Before it was incredibly plain. Now you can see a lot more echoes of Yuna's outfit, which is what I'd prefer. I want people to recognize the crossover immediately. Kept the star in the bottle just cuz it was cute I guess!
Daisy...yea, total do-over. I don't think I salvaged anything. She never fit on prints well either so I had to rework her arms and skirt. Once I opened the file I realized I'd be unable to be save this in it's original state. I kept the general pose, mostly in the legs- and facial expression. Lately I've taken to drawing her with this skin tone and it suits her, imo, EXTREMELY well. This is just canon to me now, lol. Anyway, her design is another Yuna hybrid. One thing I don't like about Rikku and Paine's Gunner sphere outfits is that they are so....? Well, not soft like Yuna's. They look like industrial cowgirls. I enjoy that light, gathered cotton look vs leather on leather patchwork (ok well, Paine can do leather). I LOVE the delicate lace detailing Yuna has on her top and skirt, along with the soft gradation on the skirt. You'll notice I gave Daisy Yuna's signature hair braid thing. I also opted to give her a messy bun again because I did that for her 'run in the desert' sketch and I'd sell an organ for her to canonically have a messy bun, just sayin. All in all, Daisy is now my fave of the three for the gunners. I may actually make this into a real cosplay for myself lol.
Prints of them individually are coming, along with a group print in various sizes :) I'll also do bookmarks and stickers at some point!
