Witch Hunter Glaive: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

Definitely been a while since I was able to dive into a polearm, this skirts the line between Halberd and Glaive so I would be open to either! Adding to the arsenal for an anti-caster, I hope this gets a few of the melee team salivating. Cracking this one for them was a lot of fun.

Pivoting into the anti-caster and crude construction from the items of a fallen really sealed in the angle and expanded. Keeping the damage down, the 1d4 concentration negative is mathematically a replacement for thwacking someone with a 2d8. Especially on a two hander that is not something I would want to be rolling against.

Description:

This was built from the relics and armor of Alexander De Selippin, a renowned witchhunter and pursuer of the dark arts. The scraps of metal were also all that was found of his remains. Crudely shaped without rest into a weapon by one of his pack men, it has become regarded as invaluable in the defense against dark magicians. Hammered into the shape of a cruel heavy blade, the shock of a sighting is rumored to snatch spells out of a witch's very throat.

Tabs:

• The user has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects while wielding this weapon.
• Resounding Blows: As a Bonus Action, the user can activate the ancient runes carved into the metal. Sparking forth floating spectral runes, this weapon deals an additional 1d8 Thunder damage and the cracking booms of these blows can be heard up to 150ft away. This effect lasts until the user deactivated the effect as a Bonus Action or drops the weapon.
  • A creature that is struck by this weapon while concentrating on a spell, must subtract 1d4 from their concentration saving throw.
• The Last Word: While wielded, the user gains the ability to cast the Silence spell once per day.
