My Father's Sword: Art (PNGs)

Greetings All!

This had been needing an update for a while, and I couldn’t think of a better time to dive into it than Father’s Day. My Mother’s Sword Variant, is also included for obvious reasons. This was one of my first original items back in October 2019, and really taught me a few lessons both item and art wise.

I’ve updated the phrasing, layout, and art to my current standards over this week. To be honest, I really quite like it. Especially as a fun type of mid-level play without being too powerful. I hope you feel the same, and input is always welcome!

A small ode out there to father’s everywhere, I miss you Dad.

Description:

Over ages upon ages, the tale remains the same. The faces and situations can shift, but the core of the story remains unchanged. A father’s last duty lays incomplete. unrealized. It is handed down to the successor to complete. This is the call of destiny, and future laid bare.

Tabs:

• The user gains +1 to Attack and Damage Rolls made with this weapon.
• This item holds 4 Charges, regaining 1d4 expended charges at every Dawn.
• His Footsteps: As a Bonus Action, 1 Charge. The user extends a spectral blade, creating a Magical Longsword.
  • When Activated, the spectral form does not alter the base item from Short Sword in terms of Weapon Proficiency and Mechanics.
  • At Attunement, the user chooses a Damage Type of the activated form, dealing this type from that point forward. It Cannot be changed on Re-attunement.
  • While Activated, the damage dealt becomes 1d8 (+1) of  the chosen damage type.
  • It remains activated for 10 minutes, or until the user chooses to end the effect early as a Bonus Action.

Take It From Here: As an Action, 2 Charges. The wielder can summon the ‘Spiritual Weapon’ spell. It is considered 2nd Level, and visually  matches a completed version of     this sword. If this sword leaves the user’s hands, the summoned version will vanish.
