I'm pretty sure the Renpy engine I'm using for the visual novel can't handle animated files very well. I miiight make some small animations on the side, but they're very time consuming and I'd rather make more stories than make something flashy, you know?

Loved this update, really dropped a bomb on things. Found a small continuity issue with Day 11 for Sissel, I was playing back a bit further that the update (from the campfire bit onwards), when Sissel is unpacking his few things in his new home, one of the items is a single work uniform. Later on just before he is talking with the older couple, he says he forgot his work uniform back at the dorm, and he should call [player] to grab it for him later. Just thought to pass this on :)

Oh, damn you Shirokoi! (But in a good way! xP) I love how everybody is linked together in one small way or another! The 'Lady of the Lake', Hershel, Morse, Jinny, Phillip, Mrs Corlisse, Owen.... even the elderly couple in the cafe! Just when I think I've got it all figured out, BAM! Half of it, I was wrong! There's so much I want to ask but I don't want to give away any possible spoilers! @Riku, I agree. And what's this about Morse asking about Owen? Hmmm? He did look a lot like Owen. And Samuel. Will Samuel be brought in on this since Morse is? Ooooh! There's so many ways you can take this story! Skimming through your sprites... weeeeeeee! Will Owen is his spiffy clothes make it into the story? Does Sissel, in his tuxedo? I thought I saw one of Sissel in a white tux? (swooon!) Keep up the wonderful work! Is there a way to send you typos? I know I'm not the best proofreader, hell, I triple check all my work and it isn't until I click send and go back and read it again only to find a few more typos. hehe. But I will be happy to assist in that department if I can. Oh, and you message to the dataminers... PRICELESS! I know how to make it a little more for your files <3

The convention was fantastic! I got to meet so many wonderful people and being surrounded by so much positivity was a great experience. A few peeps even knew about Repeat! :D

Prediction: Hershel is Sissel's Uncle. Unrelated: Is there any way to get ahold of the older art packs? I had to get a new comp and lost them and trying to backtrack through posts it said the links no longer worked.

So, the pieces start to fall into place. This update certainly dropped a fair few bombshells. Perhaps it is indeed plausible that his parents were indeed good people who had every intention of raising him, but he had gone missing in the wake of his mother's death, abandoned by those who killed her. I see why Hershel is reluctant to tell him the truth; he's probably trying to keep Sissel from looking into the criminal underworld that he had escaped, but had caught up to his mother. Perhaps him and Owen aren't that different from each other after all. I am definitely enjoying the third-person perspectives that are starting to appear every now and then (the chat with the old couple was absolutely adorable). Even through merely describing their internal feelings and attitudes, it gives a perspective on their lives that can't fully be seen from speaking to them. That's a useful strategy for suspenseful stories, which you've gotten all too good at making. And Morse, well, seeing him in Sissel's route was certainly a surprise, but I'm all for it. Seeing secondary characters play different roles in different storylines is always interesting. He strikes a good balance between secrecy-fuelled reservedness and inquisitive out of concern for his friends (although I was expecting him to have a more hacker/vigilante look than he ultimately has. Interesting outfit choice there). Sadly, I get the feeling that a former lover of his won't find out in Sissel's route that he was never killed in prison, but faked it and escaped with the help of a teenage girl. Stay crazy, Jinny (And Owen isn't actually doing as well as normal, Euca).
