In this case, I think she went wrong at coming for Leigh but I think her points on selective outrage were very valid.

My sister, who watches a lot of British tv, was telling me it's pretty normal to tan that intensely in the UK. Like it's a trend. But you're right, I think us Black people in the US are really tired of ppl co-opting/commodifying Black culture or features while also simultaneously ignoring very real life threatening issues of the Black community. I didn't hate the song, but I rolled my eyes watching it because I'm tired of white artists commodifying Blk culture and then throwing it away once they get to a certain level of success. Also to respond to bullying by attacking the only Black member of a group (who is also pregnant) as another Black woman was irresponsible and cruel.

I liked jesy’s song and I honestly didn’t see a real problem with it I grew up in Cali, things like that happen so often white girls tanning and being my color at school the next semester so I wasn’t really trippin. But you really helped me understand why it was wrong. It was really a marketing scheme and she knew. She knew. The type of reaction she was gonna get. Not only that but the ending about Dave Chapelle I agreed with that as well. You really are getting better and better with this channel. I remember back in 2018 with the whole Nicki cardi beef, it was a stressful year for the channel forreal😂 but you have really started using your voice in a very non biased.
