General Announcement

So, this is kind of a 'Year in Review' for 2024.

First off, even though I try to say it a lot, I'll say it again: Thank You. It means a lot to me that everyone here is here in the first place, helping me support myself and augment a fairly meager income at my regular day job. Your support also helps me turn my writing into something that's actually profitable, which eases a lot of stress in my day-to-day life when I know that I can come home to something that I enjoy doing and be compensated for the time I'm spending doing it.

So, again: Thank You. You're all awesome.

Now, the hard part...

I've looked over my finances and determined that I've been taking a few hits due to a combination of inflation, a few medical expenses, car repairs, and other things of that nature. Just bills, but they've piled up a little bit. What's new, right? I don't like raising prices on my subscribers and being part of the problem with the economy where everything's getting more expensive, but things have come to a head here in December.

First Off, let's get this out of the way:

IF YOU STAY SUBSCRIBED AT YOUR CURRENT TIER, THE PRICE WON'T CHANGE.

Wherever you are right now? You're grandfathered in at your current rate. It doesn't change as long as you stay subscribed. You keep getting the benefits you're getting at the same price you've been paying. Hell, you could even pay for a year in advance at the current price and receive a ten percent discount if that's up your alley.

So what are prices going to look like for 2025:

$1 Tier: This tier got de-listed a few months ago largely due to the fact that I just don't have time to run quests much anymore, and this was the 'quest tier' for my Code Geass quest over on SV. This tier is being fully closed down, which means the three people still shadowing it will receive notifications later this month about it. The CG Quest, Semper, has not ended yet and I still have three epilogue chapters to post, but I'll be putting those up for free when it happens. If those people want to stay subscribed as free members to get notifications/reminders, that works.

$3 Tier: Will be going up to $4.00 USD. That's it. One dollar increase. I don't like to raise prices, but my finances demand it. This is the bare minimum I can get away with. All benefits stay the same, it's just one dollar more each month. Sorry about that. If you stay subscribed, though, you'll stay at the $3 rate.

$5 Tier: Will be going up to $6.00 USD. Again, I don't like to raise prices on people. I hope I don't have to do this again, and I hope people won't mind things going up slightly in price. If you stay subscribed at the $5.00 Tier, you'll stay at that rate until you unsubscribe or willingly move to the new one (don't feel obligated to).

$10 Tier: THE NEW THING. Having been long in the planning stages, this is what the new tier is going to look like:

• All access from the current tiers. That means you'll get the chapters delivered by email and you'll get access to the docs.

• 2 Votes per month on the poll, just like the current Bonus Tier.

• Voting rights on a special poll for an extra-long chapter (5k+) of a non-regular work that will be decided each month. (Think Speedrun, Petal to the Metal, Entrepreneurial Spirit, etc...)

• Access to some of my planning documents for stories and ideas, rough draft proposals for new content, silly story prompts that fall out of my head, etc...

• Alpha testing for a potential discord server coming online in 2025, sometime. I'm not putting a date on this. Once I get a proper feel for running a server and maybe tap some people for moderator privileges, it'll go into wider release.

Again, these changes will only go into effect after Christmas, probably right before the New Year. I'm giving everyone 2 1/2 weeks advance notice so you have plenty of time to consider how you want to stay involved in the coming year with this community, if you choose to.
