Winning Peace Chapter 12

Shame on everyone who forgot I was supposed to start a new doc with Chapter 11.  Including me.  Especially me.

As well, here's the next bit that follows closely after the most recent chapter.

Not sure what's next, but I do aim to get an update out for my SV quest at some point this week.

Space is pretty close, Earth is not.

Is this actually a post scarcity society? I assume the replicators need energy and lots of it to create all that different matter. Even fusion wouldn't do enough. I'd assume all the on planet sites are having trouble generating electricity as well. Especially the more navy dependent for energy countries like Japan, China and most of Europe.

So, what does the Minister of State do? I assume it's not handling foreign affairs, given that another ministry does that.

I am pretty sure that Last Dogs are not as organized as they think they are; probably originally around 30% were people that just joined to think they could be part of something greater or wanting revenge on the shitty life and died, while the remaining can be divided in people either genuinely believing the cause, people what wanted to use the hard reset to hoard resources and become basically king/cult leaders like the polygamous cult head in america, or mostly in the UNAS military members that thought America could become even stronger using the chance to rebuild faster and invade now destroyed nations without international problems. The factions that are now opposing him are IMO composed mostly of the last faction

It is not finding them that is going to be the issue now that he is aware of their existence and can direct his resources. It is the independent cell structure and overall level of countermeasures they already use as part of their organization. Seems to me like a real version of Hydra style organization. And because these people all operate independently they aren't really aware of what each one is doing. Honestly my suspension of disbelief is somewhat shot since Ezequiel's Nemesis lives as somekind of "traditional Hunter" in the middle of nowhere. I can't really see how he even started this Last Dogs movement of his and commands it like he does. Just doesn't seem really feasible. Then again Inspired Inventor is absolute Hax when deployed so...

What did I miss?

I mean, how often does he get charges again? I know it isn't the "five every day" of the original CYOA version. Is it the one-per-moon or one-per-month option?

Unless you are planning to nuke the planet the internet will remember :P

An Email will never change it's name :)

Fun chapter. You'd think people would reflect even a little bit, but eh, humanity generally sucks. I'm a little surprised that he hasn't found the Last Dogs with all the charges he has.

godUsoland

Delightful. Though I wonder if he couldn’t just throw 10+ charges into Counterespionage and just obviate the challenge the Last Dogs represent.

I see everything.
