QM: "Oh, he's busy with *ominous pause* stuff" (end of turn info) by the way Lelouch invaded China and he's been made Emperor-Consort of China Questers: "HOW?!" QM: "By being Lelouch" Negaverse Tianzi quest would be pretty funny too, but I keep imagining it as an EU4 quest where you start in the middle of a disaster and have to deal with that while the rest of the world goes insane in the background

2022-07-19 06:17:22 +0000 UTCI mean, the players have voted to attack one of the three major world powers, even if this is the weakest of the three and the most vulnerable at the moment. It very much should not be easy. That said, the initial invasion of some of the other cities would have been easier because of the lack of military presence. Guangzhou was chosen because players explicitly wanted to flip the fleet. Xiamen, Quanzhou, and Shanghai would have been around DC 75/80 to attack because of the lack of (large) military presence. Quingdao would have been worse, though, by a sizable margin, because it has multiple active fleets operating out of it, but you'd have had the Empress nearby to mutually help each other.

Diplomacy and Intrigue tactics rely on a number of moving parts that get harder and harder to achieve the more people come into the equation and the more people you have to express yourself through.

Also why is the direct attack so much easier on the DC, 20+ is a lot in dice numbers. I'm getting a distinct impression we really overreached this time.

But, yes, Lelouch being able to personally control the situation generally makes the situation easier than using puppets to get the job done instead.

2022-07-18 22:46:41 +0000 UTCJust to clarify the voting options, would adding Xingke to the 2nd option add up to a total DC of 170/265? It might be simpler to merge the "Team goes alone" as part of the default option while Xingke/Lelouch are kept as the additional sub-options.
