Still chugging along!
Since the last update I've:
hired a musician!!
Improved camera tracking of the player. It now moves up/down in bigger BGs when the player sprite moves up or down the screen.
Switched the character animator to sprite unity complex which makes a HUGE difference to how the art of the sprites will work.
Changed Esther's hairstyle in her uniform sprite to the one she had in ch4 of the comic because I think it's really cute.
Sketched out Manny's sprite and added him to the game. He doesn't actually walk around in ch1 of the game but I figured I'd set it up anyways.
I also sketched out Rosa but haven't added her to unity yet.
More BGs sketching!
Doesn't feel like a ton since it's mostly more art assets and meetings with my team. My primary goal right now is to finish sketching all the placeholders: all the BGs sketched, placeholder NPC sprites. Coordinating with my animator to have Dan and Esther's walk/run cycles animated by October too. When I have placeholders I can properly start coding a skeletal version of ch1's progression.
