After Dinner

“Have you decided how Dolores is going to take her final bow?  I'm sure that there are plenty of people who would be willing to take care of things.”

Harry's grin was positively evil, “It's already done.  I decided to kill two birds, Mate.  Grabbed her yesterday and dosed her with a a slow acting poison and since it was the full moon, dropped her in Greyback's lap right at moon rise.  That bastard werewolf tore her apart and ate the meat, the poison has already killed him and the rest of the pack.  I checked on the bodies this morning.  There's a certain amount of poetic justice, the toad got to experience the terror that those muggleborn experienced when Lucius and his friends came visiting, and Greyback got to experience the joy of dying in agony.”

Severus shrugged, “Not going to miss either of them, but, if you'll excuse me, I need to go console Narcissa on the tragic death of her husband.   Draco was so distraught he's in Saint Mungo's for a few days, so she's going to be lonely.”

Harry smirked, knowing exactly what form the consoling was going to take, since Narcissa absolutely despised Lucius, and, even more, had really enjoyed the afternoon that he and Sev and shared the woman while Lucius watched.   The ponce absolutely hated it, but it meant that he only had to pay the fines, and the two of them didn't give evidence of exactly what the diary was.    

Too bad that the fool assumed that day would be the end of it, he should have been aware that they were already planning on having him killed.  But then, Lucius never was all that cunning, was he?   Especially since Narcissa realized immediately what her husband's fate was likely to be, and invited the two of them back any time they wanted.     Harry wondered if he'd have time to visit with Sirius before getting on the Express?   He was sure that Narcissa would be thrilled to renew her relationship with her cousin, after all.

Luna had finished satisfying Sirius while Severus was leaving, and she sat back, wiping her chin with her fingers.  “You might be interested, Master, in knowing that Ginny was really concerned about being given to Professor Snape.   I reassured her that he swore an oath not to touch us while we are students, but she didn't seem to realize that we aren't students until we step on the Hogwarts Express.”

Harry nodded, “Useful to keep in mind, but I'm not inclined to strain her trust in me this early in her training.  She doesn't have the benefit you and Cho do, of belonging to me for so many years.  Imagine how you would have felt if I had given you to somebody you had reason to despise when you were newly collared?”

Luna paused, considering, “I would be very confused and upset, and wondering if you had made a mistake. And that would have been devastating while I was adjusting to my new life.  You are right, Master, thank you for explaining.”

He smiled, “Luna, you have been with me long enough to know the rules, I will never punish you for asking for clarification, as long as you do it properly.  I'm sure you will understand, though, that I will be harsher on Ginny during her training than I am with you and your Alpha, because you have already completed your training and will rarely require correction.   I'll expect you to explain that to Ginny when it becomes necessary, and I'm sure it will.”

Luna smiled softly, “Of course, Master, I'll be happy to explain things.  But, will you be telling the truth about us?  I'm just concerned that one of us will slip and say something Ginny won't understand, and it could damage her trust in you.”

“I'll be telling her once she is through the hardest part of her training, so I can be sure she won't beg to be released.   But we can worry about that later, I need your service right now.”
