Kadhizi 04 - The Lampists and the Observatory

Welcome back one final time to Kadhizi! With release 4 of Kadhizi, we look at the final quadrant of the genie city. Deluded cultists plot sabotage, and a reclusive scientist rushes to find an escape from the quickly imploding ewer. Please note that we will have one follow-up post for Kadhizi which will include 1) tokens, 2) the VTT modules, 3) a full version of the PDFs [i.e. stitched together], and 4) a revised full version of the maps so that they're truly seamless. That should be soon, so keep your eyes peeled! We will (of course!) not be charging you for that.

The Borough Guide

This week, we zoom in on two particularly unique aspects of life in the Ewer. First up is His Holiness Yasir the Stationary and his misguided Lampist religion. This desperate lot will do anything to stay within the ewer. They're likely to antagonize the party no matter how the adventurers choose to proceed! Next, we'll take a look at the strange, undulating, arcane Observatory sitting atop Kadhizi's highest hill! Bizarre experiments conducted within may just be the party's best bet for escaping. 

There is some incredible art in this Borough Guide, much of which was designed by the newest member of our team Zoë Rose! Maps

This final quadrant of the map features the church of Lampists, the colossal Observatory, and a hill dotted with fine homes. The Reservoir curves back toward Cal's Prison, and visitors can stop by the communal boat house if they'd rather paddle to their intended destination. When the ewer begins to implode, the Lampists pay a quick and deadly price.

Music

Surprise! I know we said that you'll be getting music for every release starting with with week 2 of October, but we've decided to give all of our Chief Courier patrons a smattering of desert tracks today from the library of Music d20 (aka our writer / composer Will). With these 3 tracks (and their 4 variants), you should be able to score a much wider selection of Kadhizi encounters. Dig in! Please note that we will very occasionally be including additional content for our patrons at the Chief Courier tier and above. Here's your first taste!

Dream Genie | Collaboration with The Fluffy Folio

You knew it was coming! Here's the final genie from our friend The Fluffy Folio. This slightly cute / slightly creepy elemental has mild soothsaying abilities and a bubbly personality. The art is stunning, but you're also definitely going to want to use this statblock for your D&D 5e games. I know we've said it each week, but you really have to check out Fluffy's work on Patreon.
