Kadhizi 02 - Merfolk, Drugs, Sports, and Treasure

Life is bizarre in Kadhizi, but the genies have found a way to make it work

Welcome back to Kadhizi, the demiplanar genie city! This week we're taking a look at how the residents of this desert town actually go about living their lives. Getting by in the demiplane isn't easy, but with a little help from the Elixirium, Wild Genie magic, and the always thrilling desert races,  the inhabitants of the ewer are able to eke out a proper existence.

The Borough Guide

This week, we're introducing you to the abrasive merfolk who rule the depths of the Reservoir. You'll also read about the magnificent potion-making apparatus known as the Elixirium, and just a few of the ways that some in Kadhizi try to have some fun. Finally, what would a desert adventure be without a little treasure hunting? There's one artifact in Kadhizi that remains unaccounted for, and it just might be the key to everything!

Maps

This section of map lies due east (insomuch as "east" exists in the Ewer) of Cal's Prison. In this section of town, you'll find a much more densely populated collection of homes. You'll also get a peek at some of the farming that keeps the walkers alive. The star of the show, however, is the massive Elixirium, which uses raw genie magic to create powerful potions and salves. The more splendor there is in Kadhizi, the more spectacularly it comes crashing down. The northeast corner of town looks particularly apocalyptic in our Chaos version of the map!

Wild and Spark Genies | Collaboration with The Fluffy Folio

The Fluffy Folio has yet again helped out with some incredible art and D&D 5e stats for two more of our genie types. This week, you'll get a close look at the temperamental Spark Genies and the gregarious Wild Genies. These elementals will be a great way to add life to campaigns that take place outside of Kadhizi as well. If you want additional incredible monster designs, stat blocks, potions, and so much more, please do check out The Fluffy Folio on Patreon!

Ah that makes sense! Thank you then!

Maximilien Bianchi

Hey Maximilien, the Delivery Kid rewards include one PDF per month. We released the full suite of Meddenfirth PDFs so that folks can get a sense of what they can expect from all of the borough guides, but moving forward Delivery Kid patrons will just be getting the big PDF that comes at the start of each month.

Borough Bound

Hi there, the zip for the delivery kid tier doesn't contain the pdf for the adventure! just the maps! thanks

Maximilien Bianchi

Have loved all the maps you've released and I love how easy Kadhizi is to drop into my long running campaign for a change of scenery. I think there might be a note left to Cze in the map key for the Elixirium that got missed. Looking forward to what you all have for us next!

Count Looku

No problems, let me know if you need screenshots or such, but I downloaded last week's maps again and had the same issue, so I'm guessing you should be able to reproduce it quite easily!

David Fergman

Hey, Will here. Gonna consult with the team and see what we can figure out! Thanks so much for your patience.

Borough Bound

Lovely looking maps as always! However, I'm having a hard time aligning these to the east of last week's maps, did you perhaps use an incorrect version of them for either week? Primarily, there seem to be some discolorations between the two versions, and shadows of the structures that are seen on this week's map were not present on last week's map, creating very sharp lines that I believe should in fact continue onto the neighboring map? No idea how hard this is to fix, but hopefully it's just a layer that's missing from the version uploaded, since I'd really love to use this map in an upcoming adventure!
