I took a workshop with burlesque legend Satan's Angel years ago. She said to never put your finger in your mouth because that's what pedophiles like.
She told a room full of grown-ass burlesque dancers not to do something. We weren't children, so why tell us it was something pedophiles like. It was so strangely specific.
And I thought it was hilarious. I try to work the finger-in-mouth thing into different acts and photoshoots because she said not to do it. Sometimes I even say, "This one's for the pedophiles" before I start laughing. Because I'm not a child. And that was weirdly specific.
