Switching to subscription billing

Hey there Dynamic Players,

Patreon is phasing out the so-called "per creation billing model," and in the future, we will continue to operate through monthly subscription.

The good news is that this does not mean the pricing will change, as it has remained unchanged since 2018, and that's thanks to you, because of how many of us there are.

You don't need to do anything, the transition will happen automatically, but this subscription model will be simpler and easier to understand, and it will also make it easier for me to manage Patreon, as well as send out exclusive maps.

The Chaotic Good tier will remain the one where most of the content will be available, and the over-5-year-old back catalog will remain accessible, too.

At the same time, we are gradually moving away from Google Drive, and the content will be available here on Patreon, which will make it more organized and searchable. You may have already noticed this, as the content from the last couple of years is already available in the Patreon shop, but as CG patrons, of course, you won’t need to purchase these; following the link, you will see that the given map pack is "included in your subscription."

I also plan to improve searchability, since I have several ideas in progress for this, but for now, I recommend using the collections alongside the familiar back catalogs, where a tag cloud at the bottom can also help. You can also use the search bar (under Recent Posts) to search for any map by keyword. If you can’t find something, feel free to write to me here on Patreon, and the same goes if you have any requests.

As for future maps, I can promise that I will continue to uphold the highest standards of quality and aim to bring you even more and even better maps, whether it's for general random encounter locations or maps for official adventure modules.

Thank you for your continued support!

I get two types of requests, one to have a single download link for a map pack, the other to have them separated by grid size. Honestly, the second one makes more sense to me, because if someone only wants one type (e.g. maps without a grid), they don't have to download 100s of megabytes that they won't use anyway.

Having at least a single link per map pack would be great. Having to re download everything after a disk failure is a giant pain in the ass.

I add my support for the notion of having a single file with ALL of the maps in it. I would understand if this were only made available to top-tier Patreons, but does seem a good idea for bulk downloading. :-)
