I get all that, the issue is, it doesn't launch the player window. The original software works fine, just not the steam version.

The new version is one application, no need to download a separate player app. It opens the player window on the secondary display if it’s attached. In the settings you can try to set the monitor ID and see which one works. The attached display should be an extended display, not mirrored.

Grand DM, I've read that there is a way to put your map in DropBox then use them in roll20 with a mod, running it in Firefox. Haven't tried it, I just bought Foundry VTT which let me use whatever map I need.

I took the old Dynamic dungeons file for the dnd laptop (the one with the issue) and it works fine... Just not the steam version. (It doesn't download the player, just the editor) It's kind of sad I have tried reaching out to the developer multiple times with no response...

Mine has worked fine as a second monitor. I'm running a GTX 2080

I haven't tried this yet. In the past I was able to get it to work by going into screen properties in Windows 10 and moving the location of the 2nd monitor, applying it, then moving it back and applying it.

I can get it to work on the second TV when using my Home Theater server with a high end graphics cards, but when I try to use my laptop with the Intel graphics, it doesn't even try.

Anyone able to get the player 2nd monitor to work yet for tvs? Still no fix here. I submitted a crash report with no response.... Would love to actually use this for our game... otherwise what's the point?

The old one was usable... mostly. The need for workarounds was tiresome. But this version hasn't crashed on me yet. I've been running a campaign for the past year or so using the previous version, I'm much happier with this one.
