True bravery to do and say the right thing even though he knows he's gonna lose his life 🫡🫡🫡 Of course Shanks comes in and stops Akainu from killing our brave marine (I mean, he stopped the entire war as absolutely no one wanted that smoke lol) 😁😁😁 The blood lust on both sides of this war at the end takes me back to Alabasta and that intense battle. Everyone was taken over by their bloody instincts and everyone wanted more battle. It wasn't until something jarred them out of their stupor that they stopped (the rain and Vivi in Alabasta; Koby and Shanks at Marineford).

Also yes, Shanks and Mihawk dueled frequently in their youth and Mihawk lost interest in Shanks after he lost his arm 10 years ago. As of now there is no official tally or clear winner between the 2.

2025-07-02 16:23:11 +0000 UTCEpisode 488 reminds me of the war in Alabasta. Even after Pell was sacrificed and the bomb exploded, people didn't stop fighting and Vivi's voice didn't reach them. It is interesting to note that Tashigi was on both battlefields and witnessed pure madness.

2025-07-02 15:59:16 +0000 UTCYes and No, The Navy prepped to fight one of the Four Emperors to get what they wanted done, but then after they have been exausted a majority of the navy forces injuryed or a casuality of the fighting, a second emperor shows up completely fresh and out numbering them. That emperor says lets stop the fighting. So you look at your forces and Say yeah lets go with that. Because you know you will lose if you don't. Its just good tactics to accept
