The Dub for FMA is superior. I always watch Sub first & then Dub, but some shows have really surpised me, Hellsing Ultimate & FMAB are the most obvious ones. you be amazed how many accents you're missing out on watching Sub exclusively.. takes away from the experience.

The dub for FMA Brotherhood is at least decent, but I highly prefer sub. Anytime this Dub/Sub question comes up, it's always a vote for Sub for me. There are only a handful of anime i can handle listening to dub, and at least FMA is one of them, so i won't mind if either or wins. And i just did a double take. you live a FEW HOURS apart!? wow. That must be a pain to schedule recordings then and travel all the time. I know how that feels, having had used to work a job where I was driving for nearly 6 hours a day.

When I was younger I watched OP on TV in German and I do really love the VAs and it's very nostalic for me. I met Luffy's German VA last year and I almost cried listening to him talk live in Luffy's voice. Gave me chills. When I was older and had access to the internet, I always tried to find the Japanese episodes with either eng or ger sub. I prefer it that way. Me, my bestie and a close friend always argue about what ver. is best and I'm always in the minority with the Japanese. But like you said, to each their own 🥰 I think the eng DUB for FMAB is rather good...but like with most Anime I prefere it in Japanese. Either way, I'm sooo looking forward to watching not only OP but FMAB with the girls~ 🤩❤️

Ye I feel you, I dont hate dub or anything but in my expirience its always the best to watch a show (Doesnt even matter if its anime or a normal show) in the original language. I mean Ive watched OP in german and in Japanese and even tho the german dub is really good, it doesnt even come close to the japanese. Also since they have to kinda make the voice lines match the lips they often have to change whole sentences which I really dont like but to each their own^^

I found a good quote from a Comedian reacting to One Piece and posting it on twitter. He said that he is aware of the pacing of the show and that “It can’t be all gas no breaks” and the beauty of it is that you can apply it to anywhere in life. Take your time and enjoy the break

I love both dub and sub. The only thing I dislike on the dub side is when the voice actors make the dialogue seem campy and stuff. There's amazing dub performances and vise versa. It's all up to them though. We shouldn't argue and let them choose how they will watch it. That's just my take though 😜

I can write essays about this, but in short - there's NEVER a situation where a dub will outperform an original language with subtitles media. The actors/voice actors are performing from the original material, off of each other, with the directors who have studied the material in THEIR OWN LANGUAGE. Dubbed media can NEVER replicate the emotion, the expressions, the nuance that comes in the original language. Movies, tv shows, anime...etc. If people want to say the dub is 'good' fine, even if they want to say the dubbing is 'great' sure. But to 'outperform'? Never.

Sub will always be better, it applies same rule as books, i always read them in their original language because it always looses substance when you read a translation or in this case not watching the original audio, original lines, it's not the same emotion put on the DUB, you lose a lot more by watching it dub tbh

In your opinion. I don't really care if people watch sub or dub, I've done both for plenty of anime. My preference will always be sub though, because in my opinion I like the way it sounds. Stating that you know better and the majority is wrong is, again, your opinion.

I have watched Sub and Dub for the Big 3 (One Piece, Naruto/Shippuden, Bleach), The Great One (Dragon Ball Series), One Punch Man and many more. The English Dub out performs the Sub MOST of the time. The Japanese Subs are great. They're not bad. Most reactors get bullied/referred into Sub and miss a better first time experience by Sub Zealots. There are too many of them and their voices drown out those who actually know better. This is one part of the world where the majority is wrong. What I want for you girls is to have the best first time experience by watching the Dub of those I already said and a couple unlisted ones. (You shouldn't change One Piece though. I actually prefer the Sub of One Piece.) But that will likely not happen because of numbers over reason. I'm gonna watch and enjoy regardless and wish you luck for the better experiences.

However, it’s important to ensure that you watch the version with subtitles that translate the written kanji. There are subtitle versions that don’t translate any written text, which can cause confusion in certain scenes.

Seems like a smart move to take a pause for thought and catch ya breaths, and a big heso to our new editors! I know this might not be very popular but it think you should reconsider choosing what to watch next via polling. Its nice for community engagement so I get why you chose to do it like this , but its unlikely to result in the best moves for channel growth. The OPM winning is a perfect example. Fans are really hyped to see you watch the amazing animation of season 1 and so am I. However OPM season 3 is coming out later in the year. surely Its better to time watching OPM with season 3 release and catch the algorithmic wave. As i understand it the discord was rooting for Mob100 and vineland saga which were my prefered choices. Personally I think listening to a small group of knowlegeble advisors is more likely to produce optimal results. To be clear, I think all the available choices are excellent anime and nomatter what was chosen, most people will still enjoy because we love watching along and hearing both of your thoughts. I just worry that polling will lead to the lowest common denominator every time.

lol well you chose the right ones as exceptions. I love Outlaw Star! And the dub is fantastic for that one, as well as Bebop and Yuyu. I don’t mind the One Piece dub either. The worst dub I’ve ever seen is One Punch Man. The English voice actors just don’t match the vibe as well as the Japanese voice actors.

Ive said this before, but I really, REALLY, love the way you edited the videos so far - it was simple, straightforward (I mean I'm sure it was complicated and required a lot of work) but I mean to say the final product was PERFECT - It focused on the right things and there was nothing distracting. I hope they keep the same 'format' you did, focus on the same things and (I know this is a personal preference to many), not add too many bells and whistles and sound effects and things that may distract from the reaction itself.
