Dorry and Broggy weren't Ogre's they are giants. The ogre title is the same as 'straw hat' Luffy, if a person becomes notorious enough they will be given a nick name. The nick name or title can be based off the characters features, clothing, or actions. Such as 'hawk eye' being the title while mihawk is his name. His title was given to him based on his most prominent feature, Mihawks eyes.

2024-11-20 20:42:49 +0000 UTCYeah, Dorry and Brogy are giants (as are Oimo and Kashi), their epithets are just Blue and Red Ogre. The Karakiri destroyers (Crunchyroll has localized that to "herculean" destroyers) are actual humans as humans in One Piece can grow to fantastical sizes, just not anywhere near as tall as actual giants in the series. I love Luffy just going ahead on his own being an agent of chaos and mayhem πππ That poor marine being taken over by Luffy just cracks me up every time I see it π€£π€£π€£ Having said that, those other marines should've easily dodged those "robot" blows lol.

2024-11-20 18:25:26 +0000 UTCJust for clarification: Blue and Red Ogre were nicknames specific to Dorry and Brogy. Oimo and Karsee are just two other giants, so they are no ogres or something. Regarding their size I think they are a bit smaller than Dorry and Brogy. All four of them are giants which is in fact an actual race in One Piece. The destroyers from the Franky Family are no giants, they are just humans that grew way bigger than average.

But to be fair: First they are telling Luffy that they are in a hurry to rescue Robin before she is taken through the gate and then they ask him to wait 5 minutes. Luffy kinda had to make a choice between hurry and patience.
