Started writing this at around 3am. Woke up with a fever, called in sick, then a sore throat, and i jus started typing slowly in between parts
Things that weren't touched in the meeting (Where the norths gold is coming from, the new ores from Cidhna mine that they are using for most of these creations (ebony, malachite, moonstone etc and Owens magic will be brought up in future chapter i promise. Was just to out of it to remember by he time i was where i was in the story.
I am going to rest a while and i just wanted to leave you on an even 30 for my patreon members, Ill continue in a week or so. Just need to get rid of this bug and i hope you stick with me then as its time for Owen to speak to a certain annoying raven and there are some slavers he will have to put in their place. 6 feet under and as a pile of ashes.

2025-01-23 21:32:09 +0000 UTCIt id southern hypocrisy at it's finest. They say north should share it's prosperity when south suffers but they did not share their own prosperity when north struggled. Also robert might say he is trying to be good king but he was not a good king while north suffered. North aided crown against Targaryen's and Greyjoys. All they get was a pat on the back. Audicity of asking for Arya and an unborn child as a hostage all but name should be punished. Owen should punish Dorne, Reach and Westerlands. He can have Ned formally ask for gold minting rights to be given House Stark instead of Lannister. He can also punish Dorne and Reach with famine using magic. Irony of North selling food to Reach at high price would be too good to pass up.

And the part with Ned and Owen easily agreeing to the monetary compensation proposed by Tywin is pure gold. Pun fully intended. They basically just said “5 million is chump change to us. We richer than you now, you gold haired house cat.”

One thing I noticed in the chapter is Olenna saying the north has an heir when Sansa says she’s pregnant. It should probably say Longshore has an heir since Robb is the actual heir of house Stark. I thought the chapter was great overall though.

It was quite tense and the machinations of Tywin and Cersei were spot on. The Tyrells were as grasping as ever and the Dornish sneaky and clever. It was excellent. I have only two suggestions for you: First, Robb probably should have been with his father as part of these conversations. I'm guessing he isn't of age yet, but he would be close enough that, as the heir, it wouldn't be out of place for him to be included as well. It would be a good learning experience if nothing else. Second, Own seems to be stepping on Ned's toes quite a bit. I understand he's married to Ned's daughter, and he is the innovator responsible for all these improvements, but Ned is still the Stark of Winterfell, and as such, would be the one leading these talks. It seemed Owen spoke up a few times when it would have more likely been Lord Stark. (I did see the nods and acknowledgements between them, so it wasn't like Owen was intentionally usurping his authority). That would be something that the other parties would notice and try to exploit as a weakness. Fantastic chapter! I hope your rest goes well, and you come back healthy and reenergized!
