"Narrow-Minded"

Holding on to hope that Junpei will come back to the light before it's too late! 😭 Poor guy... he's already such a complex character! That said, Itadori is precious and needs to be protected at all costs. We are so anxious to see this play out! Thanks for watching and we'll see you for the next one!

Nanami better than Gojo, change my mind.

Yea the worst kind of drunk bit is something because she’s playful when she’s drunk making him take care of her in some cases so yea I get you on that smh yea maybe I’m just stuck on the word neglect lol the bullies and the school life was doing the most damage tho so take that away then he’s not the same kid. Not that he shouldn’t go to school tho but I mean there’s options like online and stuff so maybe not going in a actual school but online woulda been a option and with his love for movies I could see him still going that route if everything worked out that way. Also didn’t mean anything by it I was shocked when I heard the word and had to ask lol I just find her death so sad for both and loved the relationship. Thanks for the response!

We weren't trying to hate on his mom at all! Just trying to understand Junpei 😊. I think there is a LOT of grey and layers when it comes to neglect. I'm definitely no expert, but some things gave me the impression that there were trace amounts of it occurring. Such as "she's the worst drunk", Junpei tucking her in at the table, and the whole school thing (Educational neglect is a thing!). Maybe neglect was too harsh of a word but there definitely was a lack of responsibility taking place. Her kindness and love for him were VERY apparent but it did seem like he had to be the "adult" at times. All those things can be true at once and I think that helps create his complex character! - Haylo

next one is just 2 days away. ;)

That's fine, but I'm still going to explain my points, because no, I do not think that her smoking is neglecting him. All I meant was that she's not a great role model. Her son asked her to do one thing that was clearly important to him (that would be good for her health too) and she never did it because she just didn't want to. No, there's no obligation, but in my eyes, a better parent would have at least considered it, rather than continuing to do it conditionally (not in front of him). She could have at least asked why it was so important to him, but instead, she barely put in enough effort to hide it. It isn't the smoking that's the neglect; she's directly ignoring her child's feelings on the matter. Let's just agree to disagree on this one. To address the bullying, there are many alternative options. She could have transferred him to a new school, put him in an exchange program, sent him to live with a relative, or (if they had the means) even moved. She didn't do any of that. Instead, she told him to skip school and figure something out himself. That's not what a responsible parent does. Even if you want your kid to figure their life out on their own, they still need a plan to start or they won't get far. So, you either put faith in the one they have, or you sit down with them and make one, even a small one. You don't tell them to wing it from the start. At least, good parents don't. I don't know what you're expecting them to say, but they were talking about Junpei having to take on a more adult role too soon. That means he's had to keep himself on the right track because his mother wasn't doing it. There's only so many things that can mean with what we've seen. Regardless, you can hear it from them next. I won't reply anymore. Have a nice day.

Love it

You think her smoking is neglecting him when it’s in fact not lol so yea I’ll just wait to hear they response on the matter respectfully

Caraxes🐐DT

You're free to keep thinking that. Personally, I see the connection between the term neglect and her actions. Clearly they did as well, otherwise they wouldn't have said it in the first place. Just trying to give a possible explanation.

Ben

Just in case you watch the next two episodes together as folks have suggested (which I also think is a good idea, if you can swing it), make sure to pay close attention to the opening in episode 13. It’s the last time it will be played.

HeartlandHunny

I know starving not the only form of neglect? Lol She don’t have to quit smoking tho just not around him so it would ruin his health…if she want to smoke then that’s what she wants to do that’s not neglecting him she don’t know that he was tortured with them. Her telling him school isn’t the only way to find yourself and find a way to live is for sure right lol you might not agree but that don’t mean it’s neglect on her end especially when you look at what the school life is doing to him. Come on I obviously know having a good relationship and being neglected not mutually exclusive but if you telling me her telling the kid that gets bullied at school everyday to the point he contemplated killing that he don’t need to go to school and that it’s not the only way to find what he wants to do in life is her being neglectful then idk what to tell you pal I simply don’t agree in the slightest

Caraxes🐐DT

They might've meant it more in a responsibility way. Neglect doesn't have to look like a parent literally starving their children. If they aren't giving them the tools they need to succeed in life, that's neglect (just to varying degrees). For example, her telling him he doesn't have to go to school, while a very nice gesture and a decent way for him to avoid his bullies, isn't a good thing long-term. Plus, her not actually quitting smoking, but just her promising not to smoke in front of him. Just a couple examples. Not to say she was a bad parent per se, but having a good relationship and being neglectful are not mutually exclusive.

i also think they whould be finished too fast if they made 3 or 4 episodes per week. it's not like jjk has as many episodes as op. :D

MrMegaman94

U see how nanami compared mahito to gojo last ep as that they both r really strong but got that playful childish side to them cuz mahito was just born he’s really just a child

CPA

I also think like this then I think about how I would be mad when they catch up faster lol

Caraxes🐐DT

please please please post more jjk :( its too long wait!

Rawdota

Idk in my eyes he definitely wasn’t neglected by his mom I’d be interested to see why you guys say that…him and his mom had a great relationship only at school did he have a hard time because of bullies I mean maybe you can kinda blame her for not noticing? Tho i can’t fully blame her for that with him never telling her and going through such lengths to hide it but saying he had to act like the parent? Idk about least not in the way that it’s neglect on her part. If he had to grow up it was because the school bullies and school life that was draining him so much. Great reaction btw just giving love to the mom 🤣

Caraxes🐐DT

5 days for 1 episode is to much 😔😭

Juanfer Chox

Only on episode 11 and im already excited for the season 2 reactions.

Geo

you guys are so good at catching details!! and you're right, based on what nanami said mahito is probably a couple month's old, i loved the comparison you guys made at the end. love the nanami hype too!! the adult of adults lmao, "being a child is not sin" will haunt me for the rest of my life lol, such a great character. the first half of the season is coming to an end soon, eps 12+13 are the perfect watch together but i understand if you can't because of schedule or something else. I'm so hyped for the next arc! i'm enjoying your journey with jjk so much♡

beannieswife

It was perfectly set up for Junpei to hit rock bottom, feel so bad for him.

Cation

Could we get 12 + 13 together for the next one? It wraps up the first half of this show nicely

Hertog

Not dancing away the sadness 😂😂

AR Hamoud

I wonder if the outtro song was intentionally choosen to be light-hearted and uplifting where you can't but dance to it, because the episodes are always so damn stressful on the verge of horror 🤔 by the way, big shout out to you girls for your skill on picking up the details!

Calogero Gaetani

Kiss is a menace 😂

Ognjen
