Miss Merry Christmas as well.

Nicholas Graves

It needs a more versed scholar in the episode listings than I, but a triple billing is up soon in a few eps. Not that you or we would complain of course!

Daniel Atkinson

Amen.

Daniel Atkinson

We appreciate the warning! We will be EXTRA cautious at that point.

Haylo

We have gotten into the habit of this! Thank you!

Haylo

We had no idea that was a classical work!! Loved it!

Haylo

We didn't plan ahead for this unfortunately, so we won't be able to do that this time. Sorry about that!

Haylo

Mostly due to getting behind from the power issues and then we really needed to take the time to edit another video we've been putting off (AOT openings/endings). We are totally loving the show!!

Haylo

Pell's sacrifice gets me every time, he's on my top 10 list of cool OP characters, which also includes Bellemere and Smoker. The movie that re-tells the Arabasta arc/battle does an even better job imo, with music overlays for increased effect. Looking forward to see you with "that" scene in a few episodes.

Bluntobject

Vivi's voice actress deserved an Oscar for sure!

Ikado

I would recommend not try to take notes. Just enjoy the ride...

Ikado

Some of the observations I had till this point is that it seems only zoan types have different forms. So take notes. At least that's what I assumes. To this point we have Chopper, Dalton, Lassoo, Pell and Chaka that we've been exposed to and I don't remember much from past alabasta and further more cuz it's been many years ago for me, so I'm gonna experience everything all over again. But from now on, pay attention to every character in the series that has different forms.

WhoompWhoomp

Lol, for me it was about a third of the way, but I get ya!! Can't believe how long it has been :D

Akagami

Ngl…Pell is my “hear me out” lmaooo. But throwing your tissue at an unconscious crocodile on screen is soooo real

Chris

So satisfying to see Crocodile's face punched so hard it goes through layers of bedrock and into the air. Who's a-ha-ha-ing now? :D

fr0st

yeah, no point. There are four episodes left for this part of the saga anyway so they break up nicely into the next two videos

fr0st

Well, they can watch it when at 131+

Jass

I hope you guys are doing 3 episodes on Friday, because ep 129 ends alabasta really nicely.

Adam Aucoin

Now that Crocodile was defeated, it's safe to say he was a GREAT antagonist. The best kind of villan is the one that you love to hate, and Croc is so good at that. Not only he is strong, he is smart and super competent in what he plans and does. But what I love the most is that his downfall was only possible because he made a big mistake: The idea of someone risking/sacrificing their life for Vivi or the country never crossed his mind, because he can't understand what those bonds mean. I'll coment about it more at later episodes, but this theme of friendship is so important to the saga, and Crocodile being the antithesis to this idea is one of the reasons I love Alabasta.

Jonas do Prado

Crocodile, one of the seven warlords of the sea, is finally down! What Luffy accomplished here is outstanding and specially so early on his journey. As the story goes on for over a thousand episodes and everybody grows stronger you may eventually feel like "oh wow there's so many powerful people in this world, Crocodile wasn't even that strong". That couldn't be further from the truth, as Crocodile definetely was here one of the strongest people in the one piece world - it's just that the nature of manga/anime will make every new enemy feel stronger than the previous and that will cause him to look weaker over time.

Hudell

The one thing that made me subscribe is that your reactions have so much emotion, which reflects the rollercoaster ride that OP presents its audience. It shows on all of your reaction series. Thank you, and hoping for more success to you ladies!

Marvin Jimenez

You'll soon reach the end of Alabasta and 131 to 143 are filler episodes. Regarding the upcoming arc, please be careful with the comment section before you reach episode 151 and especially the react episode that covers 151. Based on how people behaved in the comments up until now, that episode's comment section will be filled with people hinting and spoiling things. Just a warning to keep in mind

Snowman9712

I feel like the next reaction should be up to 127 - 129, won't spoil but it does feel more appropriate.

pnx

as strong as Luffy is here, he's even more of a monster now (alongside with the crew). Hope yall reach a couple level ups. Lol :D

Goon

Peak piece

cooc

Yes. He is gone, never to return. Not ever. It is known.

Rekway

Dont say stuff like "before the pain begins" lmfao. We want them to be excited to watch One Piece, not terrified 😂

Rekway

I don't see a major need for that, personally. 129 and 130 go really well together for a variety of reasons. And after 130, the next canon episode is 144 anyway.

Kitsune Inferno

Avoid the opening song and episode titles at all costs. Spoileryy

Adil

You got no clue how funny "With the rain falling, and that really new music playing I hadn't heard that before" sounds like when one of the oldest songs in the series plays.

Tomas

Personally, I think this is one of those unique situations where Oda's accomplishment here gets to show off some the wild areas of writing a project like One Piece can go achieve. Both Smoker and Crocodile's true power in their devil fruit abilities is ambiguous, like just how hard can you "float around" as whatever material you are? And ambiguity is played on here as whether it was Crocodile literally holding it back, or if Smoker can do something with clouds not even considering the dance powder, is left "Up in the air" for the viewer to decide. On another note the two of them where in a very important place on a political scale because the goverment contracting a Pirate undermine's Smoker's entire position. They've both technically got the same job, but Smoker has less free reign than Crocodile. I wonder if the live action is going to turn to focus on this contrast more as adding a marine subplot to alter the happenings of whats shown for the series going into live action was used for the first season.

Tomas

pls do 3 episodes on friday!

liluzifan99

@silverarrow06 Look at the "Quick PSA!" post from July 3rd ("Announcements" tag).

Slaizio

In the manga there is this SBS section where Oda answer a fan questions that he received through mails. One of the fan ask this question. D: Oda-sensei, as you were drawing this series, which scene made you cry the most so far? Please tell us. P.N. ca- 100 O: Woah. Splendid... This. These are the kinds of serious questions I look for. Personally, there really are lots of scenes that made me tear up as I drew them. There are even times where the drawing becomes so tough for me from all the feelings, that I have to leave my desk for a breather. As for the scene that made me cry the most, or rather, the scene that was especially tough for me to draw, I do remember that the scene from the Alabasta arc where Vivi keeps screaming "Please...!!! Stop fighting!!!" (Volume 23) was so hard to draw that I had to put my pen down. Though there are countless instances like this the more I try to recall. I guess it would have to be this one---.

NUCKY

Great reaction! In the whole series, this is one of the MAJOR fights like yeah it's still relatively early on, but honestly one of the most memorable, a lot of cool things to come of course. The buildup can be quite long sometimes, a lot of backstory and side characters, their own arcs...etc, but guarantee when you get to the end of the arcs, the fights *MWAH* chef's kiss!

Nadeem L

But consider: Vivi kicking him repeatedly in sensitive parts

draeonic 🪼

I wish they used existing symphonic works more throughout the anime!

James Fischer

Bro when I started watching it was "oh no I'm already halfway through? :((("

draeonic 🪼

The first season is safe though!

draeonic 🪼

A dry thunderstorm?

draeonic 🪼

The way I see Zoro and Sanji's relationship, they both feel that spontaneously helping each other would be treating the other as weak. So in their own ridiculous way, Sanji not catching Zoro is actually a mark of respect. (He'll never admit it though.)

draeonic 🪼

Oh boi, milestone! Now you are on for a cool new ark before the pain begins. love your reactions

D Q

I teared up again rewatching this with y’all 🥲 the desperation in Vivi’s voice always breaks me in this scene. You just know how much she loves her country. A true Princess, honestly. 😭

Kyla Munoz

Alabasta is so good and hopefully the live action nails it. This arc transcends anime and reaches heights like Game of Thrones at its best. There's a reason One Piece is my favorite piece of fiction, in any media. Crocodile is if "moving the goalpost" was a person. Remember when he made Vivi try to find a key that didn't even go to the cell door? Crocodile's whole thing is being one step ahead of his opponents at every turn, and the bomb is yet another example of that. It takes a literal force of nature, a storm, to bring Crocodile down (well, lift him up first, then bring him down :) ). And what's a storm without rain?

Kitsune Inferno

It's one reason why I haven't watched the live action. I'm scared I'll be disappointed with the depictions of the later characters.

Jonathan Charles

This finale of Alabaster and the aftermath are so well executed that they still stay among my top OP arcs even after 1000 episodes and dozens of them. Plus kinda rare moment, that we get to hear a classical piece not specifically for anime played in one: when Luffy pummels Croc into the air that's Antonin Dvorak's symphony no 9, 4. movement.

Barion

I think the sand animation before the rain was supposed to signify crocodile’s control over suppressing the rain being broken. Likely he was siphoning the moisture in the atmosphere into the underground waterways below the earth.

Mister Kap

You're just sweating from your eyes, it's fine... Edit: I made this joke literally 1 minute before I saw Haylo say the same thing, so, touché.

Jonathan Charles

The song that plays at the end of the fight is Dvorak's New World Symphony - 4th Movement. It was a great choice here.

therobotchicken

May I ask what happened? Was this delay due to your technichal problems or didn't you like it as much as you thought? 🤔😳

silverarrow06

i just love vivi and nami's dynamic so much, really hope they can nail it in the live action too

beannieswife

The music and visuals when Luffy beats Crocodile is so damn good I always come back and watch it on Youtube. Even now its easily a top 10 one piece moment for me even though theres so many great moments in this show

Salman

"How are you gonna surpass a warlord other than being the pirate king?" :D

Werchi

The Alabasta Arc is one of my favorites (have seen every episode to the current one). But boy/girl buckle up what's yet to come 😍

B4rb4ross4

Luffy vs crocodile is fire always no matter how much time has passed, and alabasta is amazing arc so many emotions, it’s make me so happy to see you enjoy it your energy is everything

daniel

Yeah finally Go Luffy beat this Bastard :)

Isac christensen

Even though it's just the first arc on the grand line and much more crazy and amazing stuff is going to happen, it's still one of my favourite arcs in One Piece to this day. Pell sacrificing himself and the first drop of rain falling from the sky gets me everytime. Peak One Piece and S-tier arc overall.

Daniel

Episode 126 is goated, and that music is a huge part of why. The next season of live-action should end with Arabasta, still not sure how they'll handle Chopper though.

Mellorine

Amazing reaction, girls! I love this arc and the symbolism behind the rain, the voice of reason finally being heard, Luffy's face when he's mad, Pel's sacrifice!! Love, love, love it!

Lucia Petrozzi

THIS is the point at which every One Piece fan panics and thinks to themselves, "Oh no, there's only a thousand episodes of One Piece!!"

Akagami

The rain falling is so damn impactful. Absolute Cinema

Roadery

God these eps always make me cry lol

Ben W

Haylo laughing at serious moments is just foreshadowing something that will happen 800 episodes down the line.

Karanjot Singh

Fact: Eiichiro Oda (Creator of One Piece) said that while he drew the panels in the manga he ended up crying with Vivi's "Please Stop fighting". He said he actually had to stand up from his desk, and take a break. One of the only times he cried with his own masterpiece. Like always, thanks for the daily content. ♡

GolDLídia

Love the song New World plays as Luffy beats Crocodile. A lot of people love Zoro, and I see why, but Luffy will always be my favorite.

John Paul

Crocodile is so hateable, but also so cool and smart. That's what makes him such a great villain.

Nik Jovan

There are total of 3 usages of classical pieces in the series as far as I recall. The previous one was Ave Maria in Chopper's arc.

Wojciechu

We had to put it off for just a couple more days but we will use this week/weekend to get all caught up!

Haylo

Any news on Fallout?

Slaizio

the music is from Antonín Dvořák - Symphony No. 9 in E Minor "From the New World" IV. Allegro con fuoco :D It's a one time use in one piece as far as I know xD

IronHeartedDevil

RIP Pell gone but never forgotten

william munoz

For those wondering, the Full Length is still processing! Shouldn't be too far behind.

Haylo

SO excited for this episode, crocodile needs to get punched over and over by luffy 😭😭
