I’m not criticizing the video, I just never seen these lyrics and those lyrics don’t seem as emotional as the other lyrics I’m used to seeing. And isn’t the song more of a response to Mikasa? But the translated lyrics sounds like he’s just talking to everyone…maybe that’s why I feel like it isn’t as emotional as the other lyrics I seen.

Dont make a mess of memories just let me heal your scars”! The lyrics a far more profound and viscerally haunting after the fact. At 49:12 when the lyrics says “what did you learn?” Obviously it’s a parallel to Yimir but the difference is she was given the power out of fear, anguish & sorrow but the boy seemed hopeful happy & optimistic.

So I never watched any of the intro/outros other than “Rumbling” I was quickly upset I spoiled myself lol (it’s in my workout playlist) so watching 80% of this for the first time was awesome. The German lyrics mixed in with the Japanese. It's pretty unique at this extend and therefore worth noticing. 2. The song Red Swan isn't just another anime song. It's a certified hit song by two of Japan's biggest legends, Yoshiki and Hyde. These are just minor complaints though, still loved your reactions to all the songs.

Isayama likes to hurt his readers i say again… Honestly I imagine Isayama is the type guy who would give a gift to his girlfriend and she does anything less than crying(happy tears), he would feel his gift was inadequate to her. Of course this is my own interpretation of who the author/writer is base on the show itself and the multiple interviews I’ve watched of him. He probably would feel his show is inadequate if people did not cry

And it is also a big foreshadowing and why we saw so many confusing titans at the end battle.

They were all just so bad ass and on point with the emotions and themes of this show. But I guess better late then never...lololol. ...Especially since you both now fully understand the context of what the lyrics are invoking. Overall the music of this show is just on a another level..dimension...universe, etc..
