Not to say they aren't spoiling in the edited version comments as well, but absolutely everything in this section comes from mid and upper tiers. Unfortunately there will always be clowns who (1) think fully explaining things just introduced aren't spoilers, or (2) don't realize that the reactors are likely smarter than them and are thus able to piece together the *wink wink* references much better than they themselves are able to conceal in their writing. We can't hold her actions to the standards of a rational actor because she has neither the life expereince nor the physical neurological development to be able to react to her spot in life approriately--even ignoring the lifetime of indoctrination and the recent unbelievable trauma of seeing two of her childhood bestfriends killed in front of her. The extent to which she "sucks" is the extent to which she needs to be saved from her environment and the path she's on. IMO if one is engaging with the text earnestly any super negative emotions you feel about Gabi should be funneled other places, its the responsibility of us adults (assuming you're an adult I have no idea lmao) to save the kids from this awful cycle

She hates eldians as Eren hated Titans because she thinks (and have been brainwashed into) they are the root of all evil and dispair. Gabi is one of the best written fiction charachters I have ever seen

If you watched 911 happen inside your own neighborhood and someone just told you that "actually it's because we attacked them first", your response isn't going to be "I guess maybe they have a point, that justifies this." You're going to be angry at your friends and neighbors being killed in front of your eyes. Gabi isn't necessarily denying it happened, it's just from her perspective it really isn't relevant to her or her feelings of anger and hurt at having her home attacked and people she cares about dying.

One a side note- Gabi sucks too. Just my opinion but man does she suck! Gabi- "Did you see that happen?....I didn't either" Also Gabi- hates those from Paradis as "island demons" for supposedly killing tons of people hundreds of years ago.

The mangaka wasn't sure if it felt right to have her die there and had drafted both possibilities, but wound up liking the draft of her living more. His editor was reportedly so happy that she lived that he said he wanted to cry but was embarassed to do so in front of others.

Even if Marleyans attack Paradis, King Fritz wouldn't retaliate and just accept the outcome. It's Grisha and Eren's actions that force their hand to this new plan of all out war on Paradis because Eren is not bound by King Fritz's vow of renouncing war.

Where of course we want our guys to come out alright and be victorious but at what cost? Like yall said, its just a violent circle that just keeps repeating. Loving the reactions and the duality of yalls emotions, especially when repeating Sasha's last words😂 Can't wait for the next!
